Since Mr. Kidston posted the 250 GTO in London previously owned by Jon Shirley, I heard a rumor siad most of the cars in his collections now have been sold becuase of his age, but since it is hard to visit his garage in these years, some of his collection are still under the water, the cars in the next paragraph are the cars I heard to change a new ownership:

250 GTO 3729GT: just appeared at Mr. Kidston's video.
250 TR 0666TR: Sold at 2011 Gooding & Co Pebble Beach Auction.
275 GTB N.A.R.T. Spyder 9751GT: Displayed at 2022 Salon Prive Concours, even still with his name on it, but I think it is now in UK
375 MM Scaglietti Berlinetta 0402AM: Mr. Kidston also posted it, probably in Switzerland
500 Mondial Pinin Farina Berlinetta 0422MD: I remeber Mr. Massini once mentioned it, a new ownership in Italy since nov, 2020.
500 Mondial Scaglietti Spyder Series I 0468MD: Original owned by Jon Shirley then his son, sold via Gooding & Co Pebble Beach Auction and then consigned via Tom Hartley Jnr.
Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B Lungo Touring Berlinetta 412035

And the other cars in this collection I have no further information, I understand now most of the transactions about cars in this level would be quite private, so I will only list these cars with the last known location which i know, any info is appreciated.

166 MM Series 1 Touring Barchetta 0010M: last known location: 2019 Ferrari Touring-body tour
212 MM Berlinetta Vignale 0070M: last known location: 2017 Arizona Concours
250 GT LWB California Spyder 1699GT: Last known location: 2016 the Quail
365 GTS/4 Spyder 17039: Last known location: 2008 XVII. Cavallino Classic
Maserati 300S 3072: Last known location: 2021 Colorado grand

I was in a parking lot in the Cascades a few years ago admiring a lake when he pulled up with numerous cars and chase vehicles. He was also staying at same hotel as we were and these cars were just parked outside overnight. I was like a little kid, told him I had 4 Ferraris and loved the brand, he just walked away and didn’t say a word to me. His wife on the other hand was very friendly and gracious.

I saw the Cal Spyder this summer at the SCM rally in Oregon. All was well.

Yep. He pulled up in the 250 California and I was jumping up and down and when he came to a stop I said, “Oh my God is that real!?” (Since there are replicas out there). And he said, “Do you even know what this is?”
I said with a huge smile and obviously excited, “Yes! It is a 250 California. I have 4 Ferraris but nothing as gorgeous as this!”
He just walked away. Literally…just walked away.
His wife stopped and chatted with me for about 15 min.
In the morning I was out there with the mechanics for about an hour as they got the cars ready and warmed them up talking and sharing stories.
He came out with his friends and without saying a word got in the cars and drove away absolutely abusing the **** out of the clutches…it was painful to watch (and I have video :)). The mechanics knowingly said with rolled eyes that there is no shortage of work for them to do.
Beautiful cars, not impressed by him as an enthusiast treating an obvious fellow enthusiast staying at the same swank and secluded inn.

This a nicer way of expressing my thoughts. It’s a shame when a fellow enthusiast of that echelon can’t take 60 seconds of their time to say hello.

Pathetic and low rent - and I don't care how many rare Ferrari's he has - I have much more admiration and respect for the person who took a second mortgage on their house to buy a single high-mileage, re-sprayed, dinged up 360 F1 or 348 and gets excited every time they drive it and takes time to talk to people at the local Cars & Coffee than this putz.

Wow. Money sure doesn't buy class.

At least his wife sounds nice; wonder what she sees in him?

You guys are being too harsh. I talked to him a couple of times on the tour. He was a nice enough guy. We were looking a some guns in a museum when I told him I lost all my guns in a fishing accident. He looked at me funny for a minute and then smiled.

Just FYI, he is a big liberal, which is not surprising being from the Seattle area.

Ps I introduced myself to him saying he owned the most beautiful car in the world. I have followed his car for years. I'm sincere when I say it is the best of the best.

he was a semi active user, but I can't find his username now, I thought it was pretty obvious. was nice to message with.

anyway, just met him 2004 Monterey FCA dinner. he was nice enough, pretty much kept to himself.

He had his own entourage on the rally, including people who watched the car at all times. I don't know how much his Cal Spyer is worth, but I'm sure it is a lot.

I wonder if the guy staring at the 250 GTO model realizes there's a real one behind him across the hall.

Not saying a word and walking away sounds strange. Maybe he's numb to car chit chat or it was a unique incident with something else on his mind. But he could just be a ****.
