How many times did they say it had a 7 year warranty? Was it 6 times? I think its 3 years warranty in the USA and 4 years over here.
7 yrs maintenance, he was confused I'd guess. Leno was peppering him with some specific questions better answered by a dealer. But mostly he did alright. Most viewin that review I'm sure would not know the difference either way. A noteworthy gaff I sort of cringed at: Manatini
Is it me or does Jay seem to be about to fall asleep as he talks, and seems to slur some words? Almost zero energy in his mannerisms.
I must say I haven’t seen Grigio GTS in person but it looks great in that video. A very vibrant grey. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I guess everyone has their own personal style. I think he tries to not get too high or too low with his car reviews. I thought the most telling comment was when he says it is a very seductive car. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
That is such a common mistake and misconception. You can find countless articles, reviews, videos and what not, where supposedly well-informed owners and journos get it wrong. And frankly, nothing against David Lee, but I have seen a few of the videos from various sources that feature him talking Ferraris. He strikes me as someone who is fascinated by the marque and the cars, and who is interested in the cars to a point. And while he owns several high end models, his actual in-depth knowledge strikes me as severely lacking. I think it boils down to him being a Ferrari enthusiast, but not an actual car guy and driving enthusiast. Sent from my SM-G930F using FerrariChat.com mobile app
My favorite was a review of the Cali 30 where the salesman told the reviewer the PS button was for "power steering" Never pressed the button though.
Did I hear correctly that Leno does not have any Ferrari's in his collection? Given Ferrari's undisputed significance in the automotive world, this would seems odd if it's correct.
Couldn’t agree more. Several comments that had me scratching my head. I have a GTS and am a gear head but interesting to see the lack of technical knowledge….with that said, seems like a great guy and is an enthusiast
Read my post in this thread. It talks about why Lenobdoesn't own any Ferraris https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/jay-lenos-garage-sf90.641321/ Jay Leno's garage SF90 Sent from my SM-G930F using FerrariChat.com mobile app
This is correct. He has said in previous years he doesn't own them because he considers Ferrari owners to be snobs.
I've noticed this. My dad can't pronounce any foreign sounding name right either so I just find it amusing. He refers to Ndamukong Suh as "Dominic Sue".
His reason for not owning any Ferrari reminds me of Rowan Atkinson, who does not own any Porsche due to their owners.
I only see 2 posts in that thread and neither are yours. Has Leno ever specifically said why on video? I've read here about some past experience he had at a dealer, but nothing from his mouth.
I took his comment to mean the Porsche family that owns Porsche, or at least a lot of their stock, rather than individual owners of Porsche cars.
I had a conversation with him in 2017 or 2018 about exactly this. I told him that I was surprised that he didn't have a single Ferrari in his collection, as they are amazing cars. He agreed, I recall him saying that he had driven a number of Ferraris and found them to be fantastic. He explained that he was turned off by his interactions with Ferrari dealerships and their general attitude that they are doing you a favor rather than treating you as a valued customer. He mentioned specifically his experience with McLaren by contrast. As an aside, he couldn't have been nicer and strikes me as a true car guy who wants to share his passion.
