I have to admit that I don't know enough about these cars. A low mile used XKR can be had for 45kish and the Vantage 70kish. What are the differences and similarities. Clarkson with his "all things British bias" had a review. Obviously the Vantage is the more aggressive, are they the same platform? I had been watching the Vantage prices drop, but forgot about the XKR.

vantage is 2 seater with n/a v8 while xkr is 2+2 with s/c v8. i think xkr is more similar to db9 other than v12. my business partner has a vantage cab and its nice but claustrophobic interior. other than image, i would save $ and take the jag esp now that new xkr has more than 500 hp

Initially, I was watching and waiting for the Aston prices to bottom, but the used XKR looks to be the better buy. The new 2010 XKR has the new 5.0 liter engine with 510 hp, but I am looking at a Daily Driver GT car and with the used 07/08s now at 45-50k, that seems like a lot of car for that price. I realize that they depreciate fast, but that is nearly 50% in two years. Any depreciation from this point would be meaningless. In Canada, a new 09 vert is $120,000 so I would buy in the US and import. Maybe I am missing something, but that seems like a great deal for an 07/08.

I would go Jag, unless you wanted a manual, but if I was going to buy a V8 Vantage, I don't know if I could do it over a used 370z. No Joke. Similar driving experience, as well as performance for thousands less.
