Watch some videos of the late, great Bill Mollison - Father of PermaCulture.

You'll see multiple places just in the panorama shot where to implement Keyline Water Systems.

That wouldn't solve your problem anyway from what that photo shows... need a grated drain across the width of the driveway a bit forward of the closest post of your BBQ shed...

No. Drainage is best done as far up stream as possible.
Here's number one son cleaning up. He lasted 5 minutes. I did the other 3 hours.

On a separate note, bought a flash mountain bike for the boy. What is missing from this picture?
When I complained, the Millennial behind the counter looked at me like I was from Mars. "They don't come with pedals!"
    "IT'S A BIKE!!!"

As long as driveway is downhill from a road that's running downhill, the option I suggest is the only viable one - a grated drain across the top probably wouldn't help much (water trying to go both direction will just 'jump' the channel) and that's why council won't do the C&C because they'd have to underground across your driveway.

What is missing from that picture is that the boy should be made to finish cleaning the bloody driveway before you give him a flash new mountain bike

Welcome to the world of ‘High quality’ cycling. You RARELY get pedals included with a high end bike. Although, you could sell the seat off yours to cover the cost of the pedals. We all know you don’t use it.

You wouldn't need a rule book either.

Just book anyone who does anything that you'd do. ;);)

    Exactly.
If you were to read the local paper, you'd conclude that Scott Morrison caused the bushfires, and that anything the government is doing, is making it worse, eg

Aid to bushfire stricken communities = government pork barelling
Not enough aid = government uncaring
Deploying the reserves to help with bushfire relief = facist plot to overthrow democracy and usurp the states
Not deploying the army = government doesnt care, slow to respond
Water bombing to prevent the spread of fires = polluting the environment with fire retardents
Tax relief and assistance to small business = government pork barelling for votes
Australia on track to meet / exceeed Paris targets = government not doing enough
Scott Morission O/S on holiday before christmas = PM poor leadership ( this is despite the fact that bushfires are handled by the Rural Fire Service and the State government and its emergency services team and the Feds have no direct control over any of that.

Exactly. It’s Effing ridiculous. I read the Betoota Advocate (a comical satire) because they are amusing, but their constant bashing and negativity about ANYTHING the sitting prime minister or government do, are really annoying.
I heard a young guy on the ABC this morning, a cowboy who is apparently really well known, and he was going on and on about how the fires are because of climate change and all the weather is now so extreme because of CC, etc. etc. blah blah blah. And they were all oohing and aahing because he grew up ‘on the land’. I grew up ‘on the land’ as well, and I can say one thing. ITS ALWAYS BEEN THE FARKIN SAME!!

Let's not bring up the subject of the almost annual destructive fires in California and Oregon FFS......where most of the bloody water bombers are based

US wildfires increasing due to climate change?

Depends on the start year used for the graph. Most climate alarm sites use 1985 as a start point. The truth is somewhat different.
