Last minute drive suggestion in PA:
Victor Emmanuel II Society is celebrating our 95th anniversary with an Italian Festival this Sunday July 18th, 2010 at the club on 311 Hazel Street Reading, PA 19611.
Italian cars and motorcycles will have a dedicated parking area along Hazel street.
Lots of food, wine, beer, rides for the kids and live entertainment including Fulvio Ranni and company. Opening procession (like in the old country) starts at 11:30 am. Festival runs until 8:00pm. Please join us! Ciao!

Sounds like fun. Could you provide a link to the event?

We don't have a web site (we are a private club with over 20,000, yes 20,000, social members! I believe we are the largest club UNDER ONE ROOF in the USA if not the world) but anything I can provide to you, just ask. Our first festival was last year and the turnout was fantastic. The club was founded in 1915 to help newcommers to the USA. I would love to have anyone with an Italian car or motorcycle attend. Our location is 311 Hazel Street Reading, PA 19611. My 308 will be there, along with several Ferrari's from the area. I don't know anything about PM, but if you want my cell number, I will gladly give it to you. Thank you for the reply! Mark

    Mark,

Thanks for posting this thread. It looks like we are not going to the shore this weekend, so this looks like a wonderful way to spend our Sunday afternoon.

We are going to take our Ferrari. From your post it appears we will be provided with parking out front and with other F-cars. However, we are going to have to leave sometime in the afternoon, maybe 2:00 or so. Will it be a nightmare trying to leave around then?
    Will it disturb the festivities?

It should not be a problem with leaving in the afternoon. We will have the east side of Hazel street, somewhat east of the center of activity, which has easy access to route 10.

Thank you all for your interest!

I think Jodi and I will go also. We were members of the club for a few years (and my brother is still a member), but just never found the time to go.

Here is a menu with most prices. The streets around the club will be closed to all but Italian car /cycle traffic. You can enter and exit from Belvedere Ave. off of Morgantown Road (route 10). Some FCA members will have a small popup tent so bring your lawn chairs.
We will have some small mementos for the first 30 or so Italian cars / cycles that arrive.
You can see we made the prices affordable since it's our 95th anniversary.
    Thank you!
