You may not have read my comment:

ie: They have been sold off. I don't blame them when within a few years a particular car is now fetching into six figures - like a 250 GTE - it is tempting to cash in. Go back a couple of weeks to when that post/thread was made about the yellow Daytona Spider for sale at Mike Sheehan's site, whose owner is a Vancouverite. It appears that that owner spent big coin to restore it and the car's value is high as it is already, I'd understand why it wouldn't appear at the show...

On the other hand, the big factor this year was the weather which didn't help, as last year we did have the Bugatti Type 44, the pre-war Peugeot D'Arl Mat and the Fiat 8V show up (the latter two owned by the preeminent collector of BC, if not all of Canada).

If you are talking about the Italian Cultural Centre show, that has been bumped up to the end of July. I believe it will be the 29th but don't quote me on this just yet, I'll need to confirm this...

Great write up Peter. You make some very good points that I can't argue with.

PS-your GT4 looked great on Sunday!

I still think there are a lot older and rarer Ferraris locked up in garages which we don't know about. Collectors are low key here.

I agree with Peter, some good points, and I did not mean to offend anybody. I appreciate these shows and anyone who comes to these events on their own time and expense. As someone who has loved Ferrari's since I can remember and would die to own one, I just think seeing a Ferrari has lost a bit of mystique. For me growing up seeing one on the street was a BIG DEAL. Now it really isnt. Maybe its because I live here in Van, there is a lot of money floating around here and alot of nice cars. Maybe its just me?

Totally agree, Peter. How often we can see all these exotic cars in one place? Anyways, enjoy some of the photos taken from the show yesterday.

Thanks Reds for a nice collage of photos, to Salar and others who have a sharp photographic eye. Yes, its a happy occasion to join so many folks who take pride in their cars and enjoy meeting others with similar passions. Look forward to seeing you all at other events coming up. And don't forget the German car show, same location at Waterfront Park, this coming Saturday.

Are you sure about that? It has looked better in the past as I did not wash it prior to the show! :D

I'm getting lazy I guess. I figured since it was going to rain, why bother washing? Just my luck, it stayed dry all day long...
