    You can bet the real ones are worth keeping to a high enough standard of care that it should be no surprise that the wheels "seem too new"...

    I'm happy to have seen two 300SLs 'in the wild'. One was in 1989 on the Merritt Parkway in Westchester County, with outstanding patina - way before anyone would have even thought of fabricating a replica. The other one is owned by an acquaintance, and he drives it.

    Last weekend he drove his DB4 to the local car show..

    To some privileged enthusiasts it's just another car they love driving around in, no matter the $$ value.

    The wheels are w123 w126 14-in Bundt, definitely not original, it appears to have lug bolts and not rudge knockoffs it should have steel with hubcaps.

    BH, could be real.

    Looks real to me. There is one in my neighborhood that I see on the street once in a while.
