I absolutely LOVE the Renault Clio/Lutecia. I want to know if it is possible to import them into America, because it is like my dream car and I want one when I am older.

Yes if you spend a small fortune.

    1. Buy a couple of them, spend the money to have them engineered in order to allow the govt to destroy them to certify them to US crash test and safety standards.

    2. Spend a small fortune having the car and enine management system converted to US emissions standards.

Or if you don't want to ever drive it on the street you can import one for show or race track only purposes.

Either way you still risk the govt changing their minds in the future, check out what the govt is doing to the folks that imported Skylines.

Skylines , the older ones were brought here in pieces , completely taken apart and re-assembled here , some states like NY will title them as a custom or special construction in other states , until the car needed a inspection sticker then all hell breaks loose, also there are stories especially in California that all these cars brought here and assembled are being looked for and the owner forced to sell out of the country, its risky to buy one or ship it in parts, because they are cracking down on that too , any car here in the States have to have the sticker stateing the car conforms to all USA safety standards+ emissions standards.
