Been looking for a starter car for a while, will be used as a semi-daily driver, but everything I come across in the $70k-$110k range is every color but red. Any leads let me know, don’t care if it’s dealer or not, will be getting PPI regardless. If I can find a F430 in that price range will gladly step up the purchase

Here's one on BAT that might go for less than $90k.

    https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2005-ferrari-360-spider-4/

It seems the F1's are going for just a bit more than they were a year ago so your best bet is to keep an eye on the various sources.

You're shooting for the low side so you'll probably have to take a car with some issues, stories or high mileage.

    Good luck!

I think you could find an F1 with high miles in red/ten for that price.

Some good suggestions already provided. Your comment about looking for a while tells me you are cautious which normally isn't a bad thing. However in the world of exotics you can miss out. Yes you will be afraid, question your decision but when the opportunity arises grab it by the horns! Also you probably will have to go higher. Years ago when I was looking to buy a Nissan 300ZX twin-turbo, I kept offering what I felt was a reasonable price and after 3 years I realized I had to go higher otherwise I wasn't getting the car. Once I went up 25%, that all of a sudden I was able to buy the car. :)

The question is... Will the exotic car market crash along with the Nasdaq? Real estate values show little signs of abating, and unlike in 2008, US mortgage loans are much higher quality. When people feel house-rich but investment-poor, will they rush to sell their toys? Only time will tell...

Yes I don't pretend to be able to predict the future but I have seen enough cycles in my life to guess. I have several saved searches on various real estate sites and get notifications for my search criteria. For the last two years it has been solid growth and this last several weeks is the first that I have seen a steady stream of notifications with price reductions and constantly dropping. I wont say that is absolute but it is interesting. I am looking for a home in Scottsdale and San Diego and both markets seem to be cooling.

Seasonally adjusted new mortgage applications are down something like 20% just in 5 months this year; Bring a Trailer sell-thru is down from the mid/high 90’s to the low 80’s, Sotheby’s and other in-person sales are off from mid 80’s to low 70’s... it’s already happening

So I counted the last 10 cars that had sold earlier this afternoon and 4 out of 10 would. 6 failed to meet their reserve.

They had a bad day, but overall it’s been a little higher. I check a few times a week and usually do a full page of results when ballparking it. Or a full day of sales. They post worse cars to close in the morning, so if you check the last 10 at lunch there’s usually a bad show.

The sales prices are trending down. The sale rate is trending worse. The wholesale auctions on high line were a blood bath today.

Yea based on what everyone is thinking on a lot of these threads the values are about to plummet, I’ll probably wait 6-12 months and then step it up to a 458

Unfortunately, people have been saying the sky is going to fall for the last four years. As far as I can see, the sky is still intact.

You can wait until you're old and gray before pulling the trigger hoping for a better deal or you can start enjoying now. It is after all, only money.

Car prices and sell-thru rates have been rising for 4 years despite naysayers saying the market was overvalued. Both of those have been falling since March and have been accelerating on a weekly basis. We aren’t going back to 2018 prices, but I think it’s going to be a long and early winter ahead.
