Hi i am an undergrad student doing mechanical engineering studying in IIT indore, India. I'm a huge fan of formula 1 and an even bigger fan of the ferrari team. I've already decided that i have to end up working for one of the f1 teams as a design engineer. I'm doing my pre-final year now and will get a summer break next year and i want to do an internship at ferrari during that time. The thing is i don't know whom to approach and whether ferrari offer anything like what i want. Anyone out ther who knows what i should do? please do help!
    Cheers :D

Great to hear that level of passion!

Find out where Ferrari recruit their engineers from - it is likely to be a small selection of universities (I know some of the UK teams only recruit from the top three UK universities). If I were you I would then try to transfer to one of those schools!

As far as I know (which may not be very much) Ferrari more or less exclusively gives internships to the best students from the universities around, IIRC Bologna was one of them.

Edit, I just read that you're from India: Try to get out there and continue your studies elsewhere. Being a researcher at a university, I routinely work with exchange students from India and often get application letters from them (which I always find strange, because I have no clue for what they apply as I don't have any jobs to give  ).
The impression I unfortunately have is that overall the standard of education the Indian universities provide is less than satisfying. The Indian students I dealt with often won loads of competitions and were the best of their universities' Master programs, and upon closer inspection it turned out that their actual level of skill and knowledge was somewhere in the midfield of our own Bachelor students. Most of those guys were very bright fellows, but they had to do some extra laps here to really hone their skills. If you don't want to waste the time with those extra laps and really make effective use of your potential, you may want to consider moving to a university in Europe or America.

Doesn't TATA IT divsion work very closely with Ferrari F1? Maybe you can intern through them working with Ferrari?
