I'm narrowing my choice down to the flying mirror Testarossas. I prefer red but i'm open to white & silver. I just seem to find cars with tan seats and tobacco colored dashes. Are there any full tan or full black interiors? Is there a site that shows all the options for these cars?

    Thanks,
    Jeff

Full black was an uncommon second choice in red cars and common in black cars. All tan was very uncommon and special order only. Tan dashes create so much glare on the windshield the factory chose not to do it and we were supposed to warn a customer against the choice. The brown was chosen for a reason and it creates the least glare of any color offered.

When I was shopping for mine I found quite a few white with all black and red with all black interiors. Many of the silver cars I looked at had all black, and a couple with red interiors (light and dark).

Regardless of the interior color, the reflection of a light colored dash in the windshield will blind you. Even on a cloudy day it can be irritating. Take a piece of white butcher paper and spread it across the dash of your daily driver, you'll see what I mean.

My dash is brown and I covered it with a charcoal colored, brushed suede dash cover. It's a dull flat texture with no shine and no glare. Just carry a lint brush at all times. http://www.dashmats4less.com/

I know of 3 single mirror TR's Red with Black Interior in Toronto. One for sale, one is mine and one is an FCA member. Good time to buy in Canada as well with the Canadian dollar so low.

I have thought about these for glare and protection but was always worried about the fit and look. Can you post a pic or two when you get a chance?

I have a White/red and the glare is not so bad but eliminating it would help on those bright days...

Merely a side point, but a number of all-black interior cars still had tan carpeting in the front trunk area - I guess that they just used what they had at the moment. I drove a red/black and talked to the original owner who special ordered it - he was a little ticked off that it came with tan trunk mats! (and that was an early '87 car)

mine is grey, but your right, the North American models had a different color in the boot. Red/Blk was near impossible to find when i was looking in 97...imagine now with so many cars either parted or wrecked. I would take RoccoM up on the offer, when he said there are a few in Toronto for sale, the exchange works really well right now for you Americans at 20 points.

Sorry for the poor quality........................the flash washes things out a bit.
With a little fudging here and there the gaps shown in the pictures close up pretty good.

Sorry they are so crappy. The cover actually looks quite nice and fits well. Nothing that detracts from the car.

    Great info, thanks.

I appreciate the links and the photos sent to me. I'm just extremely happy to see these interior colors available.

    Spasso,
That is an excellent solution to the lighter dashes.

I tried to order on of these covers and they said they don't have any Ferrari dash mats, are you sure this is where you purchased yours? I could really use one as well! any thoughts?

I went to http://www.dashmats4less.com/ just now and clicked on "Dash Mats".
Then I scrolled down the page about half way to the Dash Designs section and clicked on
    "Brushed Suede™ Dashboard Covers"
Soft, Suede Style Material dashmat - 5 Year Warranty
    Price: $44.95

This takes you to the order page for the Dash Designs brushed suede cover. The selection for Ferrari is there. They come in 6 different colors.

thx Spasso, they no longer carry them. I did find a source in Soquel CA and they said it is actual suede, waiting to receive it, and I'll let you all know if it's real and its quality etc...

    Spasso,

got the cover and it is the same one you purchased, I guess I took the long way around to find it, thanks for you help, it does fit "like a glove" and with my black dash, one really doesn't even notice it when it's parked. Thanks again for the references.....
