I just noticed a few minor chips on the aluminum door card trim. (Modena) Does anyone know a good color match for these pieces. Thanks very much.
Depending on the year, there were two slightly different finishes. Early cars have a slightly rough finish while cars from (I believe) late 00-on had a clear coat and were smoother. I can't help with a good colour match, but here is the actual paint formula. A paint shop dealing in PPG paints should be able to make up some. Image Unavailable, Please Login
This question gets asked occasionally. Good to know the recipe for the silver paint. Perhaps this thread should be placed in the DIY section. Any moderators out there? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I used Nissan platinum silver Dupli-color can. Looks like matte original. If I wanted to clear coat I would have just added a clear.
If you wish to touch up marks/chips on the silver interior door panels of 360s, Dupli-Color NG FM 236 silver charcoal met. matches very well.
Does anyone know the paint code or color match for the 360 silver aluminum door card trim. Thanks very much
Here you go, hope this helps https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/interior-aluminum-colored-paint.641505/#post-147884816
Thanks very much for the paint code. Is this code for the early cars (coarse finish) or the later cars with the smooth finish. Thanks again
The FER.248617/1 at the top is the actual colour and is the finish for the early cars. I believe the later cars then had the clear coat as per FER.248617/2
Premier in L.A. was the only body shop I had contacted that knew the difference between the early model, rough, light silver paint and the later model, smooth, dark silver paint. When I first purchased my 2000 360, my center console had a huge gouge on the drivers side from the seat belt mechanism rubbing. I shipped it to them on a Monday and by Friday it was back on my doorstep in perfect condition. I also read on here somewhere that they are the only body shop in the country that owns one of the actual presses that make the shield shape on the fenders for the shields to fit in.
I took the color chart above to several PPG paint shops and they could not match those codes (think they may be ERO numbers) we matched the color to KIA code C4Crystal Silver Met - I sprayed all the aluminum pieces door / dash / console Looks amazing - here is a picture of the console before I installed it Image Unavailable, Please Login
