Last summer I hit a pothole in my 430 new wheel, tire and alignment was close to 4K so I put in a claim to my insurance which they paid. I just got renewal notices on my three cars P Cayenne, Elise and 430. They hit me with three points on my license with $600 surcharges on each car for THREE years. After that they will take off one point every two years but only if I get no additional points. Till this incident I have a spotless record.
A friend of Pat's sells insurance and can save 3K on the lotus and 430 if I switch to Grundy.
The savings sound great. Anybody have any experience with them?

Grundy was half of Hagerty, I'm with them, never had a claim yet though.

I just switched to Grundy from Hagerty for the F430 and like mentioned previously very reasonable rates...seems like from gsworld2014 they are worth it.!

    Let's see:

    $600 X 3 X 3 = $5.4K > $4K

They are making way too much money off you!

I have used Grundy since 1999. I have made two claims, neither had huge impact on my rate. One claim was for a 308 that was totaled in 2001 and another was for replacing a front bumper on my 355 around 2010.

I have had Grundy on my 16M for four years now. No claims yet. However, they were literally almost exactly half the rate quote that I got from Hagerty. Also, Hagerty has a 2500 miles/yr. limit on their policies. Grundy has none. Go with Grundy.

Hagerty treated me like  (you get the idea). Grundy are reasonable and fair. Would rather use them until the sun burns out...

Info Alert: Speaking of Hagerty, one stipulation they also have regarding special interest and agreed valued cars is that the insured must also have a "modern" car that is newer than about 6 years to drive, otherwise, they won't insure the toys.

I use Grundy, seems to be very easy to deal with and cost effective. No claims but my 360 and Vette, valued at $100k cost about $1300 per year. No mileage limits, but must be garaged, and each driver on the policy has to have a daily driver.

I have Grundy for 3 of my non daily drivers. I’ve been with them 20 years. My annual premium is about $1800 for all 3. One is a 575M insured for $150k.

When i was with Grundy, they told me i had to be going on a drive to events, like a car show, a cars and coffee, things like that. They said if i had stopped at a store and something happened i wouldnt be covered. I didnt care for a stipulation like that so i left them

Thats what the agent told me. When i first bought my 355 i went with grundy cause the price was rite even tho the agent told me this. When i bought my f430 i called grundy to inform them of my new purchase and they tell me the same thing again so i didnt want that restriction so i shopped and went with progressive. Progressive raised the price pretty good on me after the first year so i shopped again and went with geico. So ill see how this goes

I wasn't aware that Geico or Progressive offer agreed value coverage and I think that's what we need on our cars no?

That is not at all how my policy reads. I’ve been with them a long time and the only thing they don’t cover is track use.
