my wife just called me and told me a deer ran into my Audi while she was driving it, must be pretty bad because the deer is stone cold.

if I make a claim on this, will it affect my rate for my Ferrari as well?

I think hitting a deer does not affect future rates

Usually that's considered comprehensive and won't affect rates. I've hit a couple in NC. We have lots.

Agreed, an impact with an animal would be considered under "comprehensive" coverage. Typically, such a claim would not result in an increase in premium in subsequent years, but that would depend on the insurance company. Some companies use claims history, regardless of claim / coverage type, as factor in establishing premium.
