Hello everyone. Just bought my first Ferrari (a 2010 California). My current insurance carrier, AAA, will not cover any Ferrari model. Boo! The best quote I've received for coverage thus far is from Classic Collectors Insurance by Infinity. My question is do any major insurance brands such as Allstate, GEICO, Progressive, eSurance, etc., cover Ferrari's that would allow me to also cover my other daily-driver and get a multi-car discount? Either that or bundle in with my homeowner's insurance.

Class Collectors isn't much more for my California than a stand alone policy was for my Corvette Z06. But when I bundled the Corvette with my homeowners, it saved me a ton. Stupid AAA won't let me do that with the Ferrari though.

Ours is covered by USAA, along with our house and other cars. Auto rates are very good, the house not so much. Interestingly, I requested and received a quote for our 360 from AAA, but they wouldn't insure our house because we're in the Cleveland National Forest. Looks like AAA does not want to cover any above average risk.

I have Farmers. Along with the 4 daily drivers for the family, they also cover my F430 and Testarossa.

I have State Farm for the house and DD. I didn't like their policy options for the Ferrari, so that is insured through Hagerty.

Welcome to the family! Here are a few I checked into. Warning: Your Mileage May Vary.
    -American Collectors
    -Pure
    -American Modern
    -Chubb
    -Heacock
    -Grundy
    -Hagerty

Ended up with Hagerty and will eventually switch to Grundy for better coverage for the rest of the family (currently under 25 years old).

Here’s my take. Previously had USAA for many years then switched to Travelers due to significant rate increase for no reason. Same happened with Travelers so when I bought my Lusso moved that and RS to Grundy and DD’s to Liberty Mutual. Grundy is good, cash value and mileage “restrictions” are very reasonable....

    with farmers here.
rate just dropped for me to $500 per month, with multiple car discount and that's with two family members that love getting into accidents (son and wife) otherwise it would have been $400
covered for full value and highest coverage possible.
    I don't play with insurance

Best advice here. Don't go cheap. Get good coverage from a reputable company, and hopefully you'll never need it. Bundle home, auto, etc. if you want to save.

We bundle home, auto, umbrella, personal property, etc. with Met Life. They didn't blink twice when we added the Cali.

Their online app stinks, but we've had several claims on house & Porsche thanks to crazy Texas hail storms & they've taken care of us with minimal aggravation...T

Allstate will- have given me quotes before. As stated above, bundling helps a lot.

As others have suggested try a search here on insurance. But that will be of limited help as different insurance companies have different rates and underwriting rules in different parts of the country. When I was an insurance broker we had software to get reasonably comparable quotes from many sources as well as access to the many speciality collector automobile insurance insurance markets.

So depending on your knowledge of insurance and time you want to spend getting knowledge as well as actually getting and analyzing the quotes my suggestion would be to select a mid sized insurance broker in your area and have them shop for your best alternatives. That may be just a speciality company for your Fcar or may be an entire program for your cars, home, other toys (guns, watches, etc) as well as personal umbrella excess liability policy.

Each persons situation is different depending on local conditions and personal situations so there is really no one size for all. Incidentally most speciality companies have some unique requirements whether they be mileage restrictions, appraisals, use etc. so there is a bit of a learning curve if you DIY. Good luck shopping.

I have Encompass a division of Allstate and they would not take a $400k MSRP 612 OTO car nor would they provide agreed amount coverage, in So. Cal.

I have my 612 OTO and my 930 TC with Hagerty on agreed amount. Other Pcars (less collectible) and home etc with Encompass. That worked out best for my particular situation and insurance requirements. Again every situation is different on what works best depending on what you want relative to amount you want to pay. But the real answer is good coverage, good claims service is usually not cheap and if it is you are usually missing something from my experience.
