This is just a case of shoot the messenger. Joe is right, if a car doesn't sell in a month it's overpriced. I'm glad this owner is in the position to keep his, because my educated guess is that he will have to if his price remains firm. Many other sellers will not be so fortunate because they have overpriced cars they will not be able to keep. Those guys are waking up too late to the realities of this sudden market shift. I want to gag every time someone tells me they are "testing" a price. The market for testing a new high left 6 months ago. In six more months the mantra will be how low can they go.

FoH's paint shop is the finest in the country, a multi million dollar investment that is Certified to rebuild squashed 360s and 430s...it's a magical place.

They were most likely the ones that sprayed it Mecum Blue in the first place, albeit at their old location, at that point.....

Simply not true.....typical inventories in the auto industry run 60 days.....currently 1-7 days for the most desirable fuel efficient cars.

For rare cars, real estate, air planes, etc. of limited supply and limited buyers it is truly hard to determine market value.

If I had enough money I would buy the F50 from Alex at his current price and paint it blue again. :)

Overpriced just because it didnt sell after 30 days?! This is a F50 not an F150.

I would have to strongly agree.

Even in premium real estate markets, a prime example at the right price sells in 30 days. There is pent up demand for the best of everything, priced right. Others need to wait for someone who just fell off the turnip truck. Those waits are long.

    Case and point....see below....;)
I would too. An unbelievable specimen, that not only looks great but has been driven "regularly" as well.

Sometimes, paying more now and not waiting is better than waiting for a "better" deal. Which, in turn may not be a better deal after all.

I see bidding has ended, reserve not met, 0 bids. Curious to know if it sold offline or was there no interest at that price.

Ok... I am confused. (not that anyone really cars lol)

I must have the history of this car wrong or have missed something or misunderstood something along this thread.

This car was painted red from the factory.
Then the car was painted California Azzuro (I remember this car originally being advertised because I LOVE California Azzuro) I thought it looked great even with the red seats... LOL

The car was then repainted red by the California Azzuro owner. (With Krylon spray paint as some would make you believe)

This particular car is now unique among red cars because it has black headlights, and only factory red cars had red headlights. All other cars had black headlights.

So... how did this car end up with black headlights if it never had them to begin with? Did the Texas owner have the headlights painted black as opposed to California Azzuro during the 1st repaint? And when the car was repainted red the headlights were left black?

Not that it matters... its still a beautiful car. I saw this car at a particular detail shop a few months ago, I believe it was with a group of 410SA's other cars in the "back room" it was GORGEOUS and absolutely FLAWLESS. And then a few weeks or maybe a month later I saw it at my the Ferrari store. I took my very good friend down to see it since he had never seen one in person even though he had driven 430's and 599s. He fell in love and said "well... now I can die" (he was kidding of course, but was very happy to check that off the list) I wish we could have heard it.
