Just got off the phone with an independent car dealer in Fort Lauderdale. He offered me 85k in trade for my California T. He said they sell Cali Ts all the time for 80-90k retail and thats all they are worth. I told him no point to waste anyone's time continuing the conversation, as we live in two different worlds.
Carrio Cars or something like that was their name. Feel free to call them and buy a cheap Cali T, as apparently they sell them 20-40k cheaper than anyone else!

    Lol.

Funny because AAA just offered me 110k for my 23k mile 2010 California and they missed a bunch of stuff when evaluating, sending it to an adjuster for more.

Although may have something to do with none being available in my location and they use that.

I have 100k offers from Givemethevin and such for outright cash buy. 110k for a non-T is a good ballpark figure. 85k for a 25k mile T is a joke. Perhaps they dont want trade ins, they just want to title wash or whatever their business model is.
Wanna replace yours with a T?

Carrio does not have a very good reputation so you may have dodged a bullet if you were trying to trade for one of their cars. Just google them, lots of bad reviews and shady stuff

Glad to hear that. I never got to that point in my due diligence, as their offer was such a joke.

The MMR range for my car is 108-119k.
Again, I dont care if someone lowballs me. What annoys me is the lies and BS they use to claim how their offer is so great. If you lowball, at least own it.

Honestly that's just bad business, if anything they should give you incentive because they're trying to sell you a car which they will obviously profit from. They are trying to double dip on you hoping you're desperate and quite a double dip at that, I don't care how bad you want whatever they were selling I would tell them off.

Its not the low balling that annoyed me, it was the "its a great offer we sell these for 85k every week" that annoyed me. Unless they sell branded title crap, no Cali T has ever changed hands through a dealer for 85k.

Yea I agree with you, if they were upfront and said "yea this is just how much it's worth to us" that's different but for them to justify it with dumb lies is a disgusting practice. A lot of dealers are just shady and don't know any other way to operate, I just tried to hack a lease my 17 year old cousin on a whatever car and I had to weed through so much bs from dealers just flat out making up lies hoping I'm some idiot. It was like the 8th dealer that would finally give me straight numbers instead of lies as to why they were marking them up.

I’ll ask you again , what year is your car and what’s the mileage that they offered 85k for?

I told you the MMR. Thats a good indication of the market. Dealer retail is 134k.

I test drove a McLaren 650S at Carrio before I bought my Cali T. Last month they had a black 2015 Cali T, 35K miles for $110K and a 2010 white Cali, 60K miles for $60K. I was considering trading my 2015 Cali T on a black Portofino with 10K miles for $189K, but it sold before I got there. Their reputation used to be terrible- undisclosed issues, only one key, etc., but they seem to be improving...

Well done ! I just had my oil and filter changed in Mass on my Cali T at dealer . I am new to these had 2021 vett , oil change and trans filter/fluid about $600. Just paid $1035 for freaking oil change up here . Friend in Orlando area paid $650 for same service . Think will do myself next time , cheeper to buy oil pump and all materials about $300.
