For typical (GM, Toyota, etc) type of dealers, it generally is ... sq footage = inventory they can have on hand. Except you do have to watch out for dealers that do fleet business, since of course fleet sales aren't represented by sq footage.

Perhaps that's not the case for dealers like Ferrari where cars are built only on a customer order, but I have heard before that silicon valley was the largest one in terms of sales. There is a very high concentration of multi-millionaires and even billionaires up here. At least the top two highest priced real estate areas are up here, and I'd bet 70% of the top 10.

Anyway I'd guess auto gallery is at least #2.

 

Wrong. According to Forbes, there is only 1 zip code in the top 10 most expensive nationwide that is in SV, and only 2 in the top 15. New York metro area counts 4 in the top 10, the rest are in So Cal.
