It’s my opinion that if a synthetic fuel comes to the general market, prices of n/a vehicles will take off again. I picked up a Nero F12 in Nov. 22k miles, paid $215k. Overpaid…..maybe a bit but the futures will decide that. In the meantime, this thing is all things to all cars. Moocher around town when you don’t feel like being involved (took it to Lowes yesterday to buy a commercial sized mop bucket, mop, and other crap) and an absolute experience when you have a bit of open road that will put the biggest smile on your face and just make you feel gitty. After seeing the Daytona SP3, mine needs a Rosso Magma wrap. :D

I would make the dealer throw in a 2 year power train warranty. Or negotiate a good price on one. Ferrari requires the car pass a big inspection before they will sell you one. I pay almost $6k/yr on my 2012 FF for it. You can renew until car has 54k miles or 15 yrs old

I've followed since 2015 Europe's evolution of the F12's Berlinetta second hand market and it was more or less like this. During 2016 there were at Mobile.de around 90 F12s for sale and the average prices for the newer ones, fully equipped and in good condition, ranged between 270 K and 300 K Euros. With the launching of the 812 the prices started dropping in 2017/2018 to an average of 230 K to 250 K Euros, for the newer and better equipped cars, and the number of units for sale reached on average 110. In 2019 the number of F12s available for sale started dropping and the prices kind of stabilized around 220 K to 230 K Euros for the better cars.
Now there are only 50 F12 Berlinetta for sale at Mobile.de and the distribution is as follows:

    Less than 176 K Euros: 4 cars
    195 K to 230 K Euros : 34 cars
    More than 230 K Euros: 4 cars
    Special Editions : 8 cars

I'm aware that the US market is different from the European but I wouldn't be surprised if the evolution was similar.

Bought at the height of the pandemic last year…they say that “if you don’t look back at your car after you’ve parked it, then you bought the wrong car.” My wife always catches me staring [emoji1787][emoji56]

There is never a wrong time to buy a Ferrari.
Is there a wrong time to bed a beautiful redhead?

This is simply one of those questions, that never needs an answer. And if you think it does…well, then you are probably German.

Hi guys, I’m planning to buy my first Ferrari and I think it will be an F12. I discovered one from an official dealer in Rosso corsa exterior, black leather and alcantara interior, full carbon interior and exterior, racing seats. It’s 2017 and it has 25000 km. I’m thinking about the mileage…I don’t know if good or too high kilometres on it.

I wouldn't worry too much about the mileage, especially if (a) the car is priced lower than others due to mileage and (b) you plan to drive a fair amount. If you do plan to actually use it, you wont be so worried about adding on miles vs. a low mileage one
Provided the car is serviced regularly, higher mileage isn't an issue from a reliability standpoint (well certainly until you get to 60 - 80k or more miles, maybe then...)

The car isn’t priced lower then other, instead it costs something more cause of it’s from official dealer (there are something like 9 cars in all Europe from official dealer and the biggest part have more than 40k km). I think the price is higher couse of the beautiful specs of the car. The car costs 255k.

25000km is nothing... If it matters to you you will never drive it so why bother buying a car? Important is maintenance and history.

OK, so now after I saw someone thinking 25 000 km is high mileage I guess I have now saw everything in life and I can die in peace.

Pulled the trigger on a 2015 F12 in Rosso Scuderia over the weekend. Higher mileage example but came with 2 years of Power 15.
Now just waiting to have it delivered.

I have had my 2015 for three years. Paid 235k with 4900 miles. $414k Spec. Only problem was low battery which can cause all kinds of electrical glitches. Fantastic car. Great design and last of the Pininfarina's. I never think of a car as an investment. Buy them because you like them and out of passion. It's a monster of a touring car. No intention of ever selling it.

    CONGRATS!!! She's a beauty!
I would take Everett's word about the battery. The F12 & 812s are notorious for eating them up. I just changed mine with a Braille battery.

Thank you! F12s have to be one of the very best penned by Pininfarina.
On the battery front are they getting trashed due to the heat in the engine bay? Anyone tried relocating the battery? Do LiFePO batteries do any better?
