Sh*t. Here we go again. Possible 15 inches of snow forecast for my house. At least I got the car out yesterday for the first time since January. This isn't "Spring". This is "Sprinter".
Yeah, that's what I've been saying now for a couple of weeks. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t93PJlv3EgQ]STAR WARS IS BADICAL - YouTube[/ame]
What a lovely dos de Mayo at my house this morning. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's part of my driveway...poorly plowed by a neighbor. Once on the road, things get better...usually. MY drive to work is 20 minutes of bliss along winding mountain roads and ten minutes of crap dodging pedestrians and Priuses (and Subarus) through downtown Boulder. My wife only has to deal with the mountains while taking the kids to school.
The driveway was finally clear on Saturday so I did my first long drive in Colorado. Drove up to Estes Park and then back down Peak to Peak Hwy for home. Tried to get a shot of Meeker, but the clouds where moving in. Driving those roads is never going to get old. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Awwww yeah. *fist pump* But back to the weather. OK, snow in May, no surprises there. But what's with the crappy ass cloudy weather, for days and days? Come on, where is the blasting Colorado sunshine? This is getting old. I have a feeling things are going to get really bright and warm in about a week. -F
Hey, this rain will clean the roads off. Silver lining? Like a fool, I drove it to town yesterday, but I had a good reason (one that I shant go into just yet). I hit rain on the drive up the canyon and then as soon as I pulled into the garage it started hailing. Nothing major, just pea sized, but still that was close.
I feel sorry for you guys then I see all the beautiful pics you posted. Looks like heaven to me...except for having to leave the car in the garage. Hope you have some great time driving during the summer.
Thread reminded me of a drive up Mt Evans I took last July 1st. 80s in the valley, but snowing at the top. You can see the flakes falling in the first photo, which hustled me out of there. I really need to pshop the dude that wouldn't move out of the third picture. Last photo is from April 19th on my drive home from the office, which got a little hairy.
