I used to ride a '71 250 a fair amount. They really were beautiful bikes and the aluminum fenders and tank were beautiful.
If I remember right it was a right side shift 4 speed and maybe 1 up and 3 down. I also remember the countershaft sprocket wasn't keyed. You had to Loctite Red it on.

My bro bought a Husky 360 Enduro, back in 1971. He still has it. His son has “brought it back” to showroom condition.
Meanwhile, after owning and riding/racing virtually most motorcycles over the years, I finally bought my first Husky.
    Here’s a pic of my 701...

I find these strangely compelling, even though i hate the urban tard look. Seems like its a great backroads and dirt road bike. Great for Ct.

I like the crisp swedish minimalism of the design, and uets its still clearly nbaked syle. Yes there is only so much one can do designwise esp with a liquid cooled motor. Seems like a great backroads and dirt road bike, which is what my need is. I guess the only question for off road is ground clearance, but thats not a dirt road and light trail issue.

Its light, handles well and has good suspension plus tires of gravel.

Compared to a triumph ducati or BMW scrambler its far lighter and small

    It's the Vitpilen...401. They make a 700 also.

I've noticed it, along w the smaller KTM Dukes...690,790, 890.
