Does anyone in the Tampa St Pete area know of a garage or other wind and storm surge safe place to park a Ferrari during a storm? I live on the water and my garage is about 6 feet above high tide. I'm looking for somewhere I can park the F car when a storm is brewing in the area?

What are the rest of you doing to safeguard your car against high water?

I appreciate any info and thanks.

Drove it to DC for the summer :D I heard some guys keep their cars at the airport actually... might be worth dumping it on the 5th or 6th level while the storm passes.

I know this is sort of out of the way, since I live in Ft. Lauderdale, but if someone needs to park in my garage to eliminate potential storm damage somewhere else in Florida I'll make some room for you.

If you don't mind sending the car across, my facility provides secure, climate controlled storage in a modern, well protected, building.

I am in the same position, as Tampa Bay is in my back yard. I do have a warehouse in Bradenton and anyone who feels it may be safer for them in a storm is welcome to park there, I have room for 8 extra cars. All the Floridians should consider pooling together storage facility resources like warehouses to use should a storm make you want to move cars around until things blow over.

I live in Jacksonville, west on 295 off 95 and have the space in my garage to park one car more in an emergency.

I also have a country home north of Talahasee at lake Seminole with a large barn that can be made available for those in southern Florida in need.

You guys down south, feel free to call when you see a storm coming your way. I will make space, and have an open twin axle trailer available, it is usually at the lake.

Not on the left coast, but if there are others in the Palm Beach area, my new garage should be done in about 6 months (forming the slab today). If you need a covered place to park during a storm during next season I can make some space available.

    PeterL,

I see you're in St Pete. If I were you I'd would run it over to the airport in Tampa when a storm is coming. Park it in the main terminal garage on the valet floor and it will be protected and have security looking after it. And if the worst happens they are covered by insurance. Much better than a mall or office building garage.

hopefully you have insurance and do not have to rely on the valet insurance. besides in a hurricane I doubt that you will find security guards running around in their little golf carts. :)

So you're saying the airport is not a good place to take it? The airport has thier own police force and the building is video protected. If someone was stealling your wheels I think they would respond better than most other places, hurricane or not. So do you have a suggestion or just what to wack on mine?
