Poor Supra. It deserved better Sorry but i have no sympathy for them. They were apparently going more than 120mph
that wreckage looks quite serious, i hope they weren't badly hurt and that they fully recover. Do they still make episodes of Hogan Knows Best?
Nick seems like a nice kid- when I used to spend time on supraforums.com he was a frequent contributor-as he was modding a supra- possibly before he was even legal to drive. He obviously should not have been driving this fast, but I'm sure most of us, have been well in excess of the speed limit at some point, ad were foruntnate enough not to have something like this happen. Get well
I'm sure they're pretty banged up from that. Jeez, too many people not showing respect for these powerful vehicles. Hope they make a full recovery.
From what I have read Nick faired better than the passenger here is a video of hulk at the scene http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/TV/08/26/hogan.crash/index.html#cnnSTCVideo
Wow, that is a horrible wreck. I hope everyone makes a full recovery. Does anyone know why the hood is propped open?
Fire dept always disconnects battery in these cases. Most likely they opened the hood to disconnect the battery and left it open in case they needed to hose it down (easier to extinguish fire when its open than to open it while fire is going on). Too bad about the crash, but, the kid was way too young and inexperienced to be exposed to these kind of cars and to be driving them the way he was. Generally with age comes responsibility, and with the work required to afford these cars comes a respect for them and their value. He has neither the respect for the machine not the maturity needed to drive it, and this is what happens. I dont wish harm on him but he should pay the piper for what he did to himself, the car, the property and most of all the passenger. He deserves some time.
And have you seen his performances drifting a Viper? About as good a result as his street-racing endeavours. He has always seemed way over his head in what he's doing vs. his experience. This time it took out his car, may cost him lifelong medical problems, and may kill his friend/passenger. A serious lack of judgement and maturity. I hope he makes it OK and the passenger too - and then grows up a LOT.
True, I have seen them.... I meant that he is around high performance vehicles and knows what consequences racing may bring. Irresponsible move, but I hope he gets better.
That is really awful. I hope him and his friend pull through and make a full recovery. Like most people on here, I can only sit in amazement that something like that never happened to me. Unfortunately a car with that much horsepower in the hands of a kid who while may not be a bad driver but just doesn't have the judgment to know when its ok and when its not will always be dangerous. That definitely looks like a 70+ mph impact.
Wasn't he the one that crashed a Diablo in Florida? Well, now he crashed what looked like a Supra and is in critical condition along with a passenger. G
Ohh, here's an answer -- because he didn't run into a family of 4 in a Subaru? If the other reports are correct, he's wrecked, what, 3 or 4 other cars? He was going to kill someone other than himself pretty soon at this rate.
