Hubcaps & History at Marietta Square:

Yesterday, on short notice, I attended the annual Hubcaps & History car show held in conjunction with the Marietta StreetFest at Marietta Square. It was an excellent turnout of cars, with some quite interesting.

The top two judges' choices were both 1959 FoMoCo products. A Ford Skyliner took first and a Mercury Montclair took second. The Mercury was gorgeous and would have been my first choice. Peoples' choice was a stylish Rolls Royce Phantom V limousine.

A couple of very rare vehicles there were a Bricklin and a Toyota LiteAce pickup. Checker cabs are also pretty rare nowadays.

My two "neighbors" were interesting as well: a 1956 Cadillac Coupe de Ville and a 1952 MG-TD. There were also two other mid-50s Cadillacs and an MG Midget at the show.
