    You'd have to sell the Lear just to afford maintenance on a used Maybach. Upside to selling the jet is no more lost keys.

    I am curious about that as well. The drivetrain is 'basic' benz TT V12. Most the electrics are S class derived. I would venture it costs exactly as much as your typical S600 (W220) as a result. The only parts more pricey would likely be the body panels (insurance), and model specific motors/actuators for the rear seats.

    Buying an 80,000 car (used or otherwise) you pretty much ARE rich by most standards....

    Just because the parts are basically the same does not necessarily mean that they will
    CHARGE you the same.
