I would like to stiffen up the ride some on my F355 its just way to soft. All I can find are HR lowering springs but im not looking to slam the car i just want to stiffen it up a bit. I am sure the original springs are fatigued after 26 years. I found replacement springs from Superformance UK but waiting on details if these are the same as OEM or stiffer.

What have some of you guys done to stiffen up the car? I was told CH springs will not fit the standard Bilstein Shock body so i never tested such. I almost wish KW made a V3 kit for our cars. I am open to a coilover kit if its not ridiculously priced and somewhat easy to obtain.

You could try to contact a spring mfg. to get exact replacements or modified to what you want. Eaton Spring which is in Michigan I think or Coil Spring Specialty in Kansas (coilsprings.com). I used Coil Springs for one of my old muscle cars and they had the exact original specs and could increase the rate to whatever I wanted. I went with 20% increase and it was spot on for what I wanted. Just a thought. Good luck in your search.

Delta Vee's Ferrari F355 Sport Suspension is a good choice which would allow you to retain your Active Damping System: Ferrari F355 Sport Suspension

I just did this. DV did take forever (8 months-ish) to get to my job. But I like their setup. It's still compliant and comfortable on highway, slightly firmer for cornering with balanced shock re-valving.

If you're looking for performance and tune-ability, moton clubsport with external reservoir is what you want.

The Superformance springs are supposed to match the updated Fiorano springs. I had a F355’s shocks rebuilt by bilstein and matched to the superformance springs, not sure how much stiffer it was, but the car felt great after the rebuild and it was noticeably higher afterwards so had to wind down the spring perches to get it to sit correctly.

There is a lot to gain handling wise I think with a proper setup to suit the drivers needs. I wouldn’t want to lose the active suspension though and have a permanent suspension warning light on the dash.

Right, Elliott. Rob Schermerhorn, at Delta Vee, recommends retaining the Active Damping System: Manually Adjusting Ferrari/Bilstein Active Damping System

For a twenty-five year-old system it works very well. The system proves its worth when I track my F355 Challenge at Sebring International Raceway which is known for its rough tarmac on several areas of the track. Delta Vee rebuilt my Challenge shock absorbers to match my 2,200 lb/in F and 900 lb/in R springs based on my level of HPDE driving. Both Rob and Jim McGee at Pocono Sportscar, who supports my car, helped develop the 348 and F355 Challenge cars when they worked for FNA in the early 1990s.

If you're asking me that question, Grant, I had Delta Vee revalve my Challenge shock absorbers to match the level of HPDE driving I'm proficient at and to the tracks I take my F355 Challenge to; primarily Sebring, Watkins Glen and Lime Rock Park. The Ferrari F355 Sport Suspension Delta Vee sells emulates the Fiorano Handling Package.

At Lime Rock Park last month, there were three F355 Challenge cars registered. Mine was the only car in its original Challenge configuration. The other two had their Active Damping System components removed and were fitted with aftermarket springs and manually-adjusted shock absorbers. My techs told me that my car displayed proper damping down the front straight while the other two showed some bouncing. The F355's Active Damping System works well even in extreme driving conditions.
