I have spent many hours reading the posts on this forum and I still can't believe how many of you don't drive your Ferrari's regularly - usually because of wet weather. Living in England, the weather is usually grey and wet but that would never stop me from driving my 360. How many of you drive your pride and joy in inclement weather ? and how many of you take your car off the road for "winter" ?

The trick to any low km Car is a regular start and a warm up and drive. Does not need to be 50km, i do a drive every weekend for at least 10 km and a few long day trips though the year.
target is 3000-5000km per year, still not much. 2001 Modena with only 32000km on it is still low. The key is keep everything tuning, and it will last for many years with little major work.
Have has a V12 for 33yrs and followed this, Now with 90,000miles it is still like new. There were years when it was a daily drive car, hence the miles.
Even the occasional wet drive is a good excuse to do a really good undercarriage detail.
I'm in Australia, so it does not snow, would not go into the snow.
Photo in the wet, following home as my wife had a windy road drive. not my favorite drive.

I've done over 100,000 kms in various tipo's over the last 7 years, so that is just under 10,000 miles per year. I've driven my classics (330GTC, 365BB, both now sold :() as well as my modern ones (550, 458) in the proverbial cats and dogs and I always say they are not made of sugar.

There is one big proviso, though: NO SALT! People don't realise how destructive salt is to your car, and you can't wash it off with a quick hose job on the underside. It forms a hard cake that will keep corroding your car well through summer, every time your car gets wet.

So in the winter they come out to play, but only if the salt on the roads has been washed away by some decent rain. If there's frost, they stay inside. The other thing I'm careful of is cold tarmac. Your summer tyres lose their grip dramatically when the asphalt dips below 7 deg C, and that happens for 1/3 of the year in countries like the UK and the Netherlands (for instance: it might be sunny and 12 degrees but the tarmac might be much colder in the morning). A lot of Ferraris are crashed in Oct/Nov. So beware of the lower grip.

Mine's my daily driver pretty much... 7k KM in the 7 months she's been on the road this year.
By Easter I expect to have doubled the mileage on the car compared to when I bought it.
Which is fine by me as I bought it to drive, not to look at and not to polish, garage queen style!

Once a week I get the oil hot and get it revving.
Having said that I am only averaging 1000km per year. Not enough I know.

2-3 days a week plus weekends. I drive my car to work regularly, 2-3 days a weeks and the other days my motorcycle. Since we have heavy rain predicted today and tomorrow, the bike is parked in garage and 360 is at work with me, she will get a good bath today from the rain.

I drive my gated manual 360 coupe every day. Rain, snow, sun, wind? It's seen 'em all. And it hasn't melted!! Once my Alfa is back from the shop, I might slow down on using the 360 in the snow? Maybe. Most likely though, I'll just sell the Alfa and buy a 456 to daily and keep the 360 for the weekends and for the snow. I've put 5200 miles on my 360 so far, and I'm quite interested to see how one of these holds up to how much I drive (20-30k miles a year on average).

I once read on here someobody said the following:
"Why would you want to drive a Ferrari every day? It won't be special after a while of every day use."

Well I do beg to differ!!! It doesn't lose any of it's charm, and I find that I love my 360 more and more with each passing day...with each traffic jam, with each errand run with little kids fawning all over it, with every time I roll up to a traffic light first and I get to row through the gears giving any lucky bystanders the show of their life. I love my car, and cannot even begin to fathom why somebody would say that a Ferrari loses it's light if used daily. No, whoever said that? You should sell your Ferrari. You are what's wrong with Ferrari owners in America. Just get rid of it. You, sir egghead, obviously don't get what this is about. It's about passion, about love, about living in the moment and enjoying life to the fullest...it's about the best car marque there ever was.....and ever will be.

Thank you for your contributions to the motoring world Enzo Ferrari. You know how to build one ******* car.

4000 ks a year since I have owned her.
1999 32000 ks. We also don't know what the white stuff called snow looks like but if it's hosing it down I take my Gti or the Nissan STX.

No point driving in the heavy rain really.

got my 360 spider in August 2012 with 27500 miles on the clock, just crossed 34000 last weekend and got rained on in the process :)
I take my car out every weekend weather permitting, once a month at the very least.

I've had my F430 since Feb of this year and I've put 3200 miles on it already. I try to drive it at least once a week. Most of this year's mileage came from bringing it home from Palm Beach (500+ miles) and a round trip to Palm Beach last weekend (1200 miles). I did get rained on last weekend and it did not melt.

2-3 times a week. We've had the car six months and have put 3500 miles on it, 1200 of which was a trip up the Pacific Coast Highway. Haven't let rain interfere with a drive yet either. We do get a few days of snow here in the mountains and will pass on that.

    Cheers, Andy

A disappointing ~1,200 miles (or ~2,000 km) per year for me.

A friend of mine who's put over 20k miles on his 458 in about a year and half of ownership inspired me to get mine out of the garage more frequently this year; regrettably that New Year's resolution didn't work out as well as I'd hoped.

430 here, I drive my car every weekend unless the weather is really bad, heavy rain. I'll also run short trips to Home Depot or the store just to drive the car.

Mostly driven to car events and occasionally 100 mile trips through hill country, great roads.

I'm past 30k miles, so, I've passed the point of no return on resale

I say enjoy the car and drive it!

I drive my 360 every chance I get. Pretty much every weekend.

In 9 months of ownership I have put in over 9,000 miles.
I now have 19,000 miles on my 2003 360 Spider F1. It had 10K miles when I bought it 9 months ago.

The smile this car puts on my face everytime I drive it is just priceless. My face literally hurt from smiling everytime I drive my car.
Hence every opportunity I get I go out for a drive.

For me, 9,000 miles in the last two and a half years. Caught in the rain a few times. I do little jaunts on the weekend but a couple of longer trips as well. I found it more comfortable than expected on longer trips. No cruise control puts me at risk for speeding tickets though.

I would figure 2 - 3k miles per year on the F430 and around the same on my Porsche GT2 and Aston DB ... Spread the miles so try to keep it as even as possible. Ussually drives on the weekends, occasionally maybe to the office, Sunday dinner at my folks place etc. or car related events, cars & coffees, club outings/drives etc...
