How much would a brand new Ferrari 360 engine cost plus the work of putting it in?

No offense Mike but that looks like a troll.

Ignoring that you would rebuild not replace and that there are threads on repair after a broken belt and there are good condition used motors out there ... I think I was a new motor in FerrariAds for $40K. Plus labor puts my WAG at $55K.

My friend is looking to do a PPI on a 360 F1 2001 in Europe, the dealer says it's a brand new engine in the car, I have seen the bill from the work and to me it looks like they fixed the old engine that had around 31,000 miles on it. The bill is for around 45,000 USD (converted from EUR). I would consider the value of the car would differ if the car has a brand new 360 engine in it or its a 31,000 rebuilt one? (I don't know the reason for the engine failure)

I doubt there are "brand new" engines hanging around the factory to be put in a customer car. You maybe looking at a factory remanufactured (rebuilt) engine.

Makes sense. Yes, I would say that there is a difference in value but I have no idea how to quantify the difference.
