I am looking at this car now. The MSRP is 280,000 USD. Is there any room for bargain or you must pay what the MSRP is, or even with a dealer mockup? I am totally new in the Ferrari market here. Thanks.

Welcome - where is 'here' and is the car brand new or what ? The likely answer is if you want one now to pay list even for a used car is not bad

All Ferrari are MSRP on a new car. No discounts or markups at all and built to order. Dealer may have a brand new one in stock and sell as pre-owned and that will be over msrp. If you negotiate hard enough maybe they will throw in a sweatshirt or a pen.

If you pay msrp for a f8 tributo that is a good deal especially if you are new to ferrari. You won't get discount, you may have to pay over msrp. $280k msrp seems low...

$280,000 is very low. If that really is the price, the car must have very few options.

You would never hit the MSRP, since any caliper color already adds to the price.

Rereading maybe OP is looking to buy a new F8 and is asking if it is possible to get out of the door with no options and a discount- if so the answer is no & you'll end up paying well beyond 300 with a few options

Also, there is a base price increase of 3% effective 10/1/21

The base price doesn't include seats or wheels. Other than that it is no problem!

Pretty sure there are no discounts to be had on an F8 order...particularly in this market. Used F8's are going over sticker, and 488's are close to list. Even plain-jane 911's are going for MSRP- most dealers in Chicago have no new 911's in inventory. Pretty hard to option an F8 for < $300K, particularly with the $10K price increase for MY 2022

Tell the dealer you will not pay a penny over $270,000 and walk out. I am sure they will come running to get you, LOL. And they will definitely give you a dealer mockup!

I asked a legitimate question and expect informative answers. While some posters give informative answers. There are always some trolls making fun of the innocence.. Not what I expected from a Ferrari forum.

Dude relax just busting your chops! You will not get a discount plain and simple. It will also be hard to get a brand new F8 for the base price, but you don’t know unless you try.

Let us know how it goes.

I’ll also add that not sure it was really a legitimate question. If OP is really look to buy an F8 I would think they already know there is no discounts. The demand far exceeds the supply with almost every Ferrari and there is always a wait list.

It not difficult. When I was looking at the F8 Tributo back in January, there was one on the showroom floor. It had 100 miles on it. They were asking $320K. It had no carbon on the exterior, carbon on the steering wheel, standard sound system, no passenger display, normal electric seats, the cheapest wheel options, no lift, and standard paint etc. It was an ok spec, but not what I would have chosen. When I priced out my F8 to order, with every desired option possible, it came out over $400k. That was more than I wanted, so I went back and changed the options list a bit. Check out cars online from all over the country and you will get a feel for the prices. My gut is you cannot get a new one with any functional spec for less than $320K. The dealer will not order one with minimal options because it will not move quickly. You can also look at the F8 order status thread and see many examples of how people are spec'ing their cars. That sets somewhat of a standard spec level. My 2 cents......

Did the same...wanted to badly to tick all of the carbon options. Would have wanted carplay, but not for $4200. I had so few options ticked that I felt like getting the cheapest option: the dedication nameplate with "STRIPPERRARI" on it =) As my sales rep told me, all new cars are MSRP and all dealers can only sell for MSRP. The only time there might be some wiggle room is at the end of the model where they might be forced to take a few extra cars, which I don't think will be happening for the F8. I ended up pivoting since my F8 wouldn't have been delivered until last October and I wasn't too keen on turbos...and got a '15 Speciale last July.

I agree it’s not truly a legitimate question…. It would be like going onto the Rennlist GT3 forum and asking if there are discounts on the 992 GT3…a quick review of existing threads and awareness of current market conditions should provide an answer

Funny how some claim to be looking at purchasing a ~300K car and dont know anything about the market or how to negotiate a deal on their own behalf. Certainly makes you wonder if it's legit or not.

My original question was to find out if people have to pay MSRP or below or above it. How else can you find out in the first place without asking questions? I learnt, for example, Lamborghini can be had under MSRP from Lamborghini forum. I appreciate most of you are being helpful with informative answers. But there are also people who are hostile to new comers. By the way, I am not trying to buy a car without options. Now I understand you pay MSRP if you order it.
