    I've found two sources that state 44 for 1988 and 275 for 1989, but nothing else shows up in a search.

    I don't know why Joe hasn't answered - he's either eating or out enjoying the weather. I'll take a stab at this, but you're probably better off waiting for Joe.

    I have seven in 1987; 79-86 in 1988; 301-318 in 1989; 480+ in 1990; 400+ in 1991; 140+ in 1992.

    Thanks for the info. I searched high and low and could not find it anywhere.

    I found your thread while doing a search and saw the U.S. numbers. Then I spent a few hours reading the whole thing.(Along with a few dozen others.) Beautiful cars and tons of great history here.
