Is there a norm of how long the battery should last if not connected to a trickle charger. My F430 last 12 days, after that, not enough juice to turn the starter.

For the first year I owned my 360 Spider, I didn't use a conditioner. My battery was just a few months old, the car was driven often, and nothing leaked. After about six months with some tailing off in usage due to winter, I started to have oddball issues with the electrics on the car, like the window ECU would go weird, stuff like that. I started using the conditioner after that and in the next 2-1/2 years, no weirdo issues at all.

So in answer to your question, I went at least a month without the trickle charger and the car started fine. I suspect you have a leak somewhere. It can be challenging to track such a thing but if you start at the battery and work your way into the system, you should be able to pinpoint what is stealing juice from your battery.

Depending on age if battery .. 2 to 5 weeks ..of course temp of garage and no abnormal drain comes into play

355 has a shut off switch- so did 360- so no issues.

458 maybe 2 weeks max without doors locked/alarm set- half that if alarm is set.

Have not had the pleasure of owning a 430 but if it has a battery shut-off then use it. If not then use 4amp battery tender- if you don't have power use a portable CAT power unit and top it off from time to time <weekly>.

    Cheers

Depends on the age of the battery, the size/capacity of the battery. If you have a fresh new battery, it may hold on longer than one that is four years old. I've never run by 430 Scuderia down that much but my battery monitor shows it down quite a bit after three weeks, but still starts fine. I normally just put it on the tender whenever I park it in my garage.

430s have the switch too. But I recall on more than one occasion, Rifledriver recommended not to use the battery switch. Everytime you do that, you erase the idle parameters and you have to do the 10 or 15 minute reset procedure to reestablish the base parameters. Anyway, he said the cars now all come with a battery tender, and you should use it, rather than the battery reset switch.

Well @Rifledriver knows his stuff so would tend to heed his advice- Makes sense- 355s don't have anywhere near the electronics that 430s do- neither did 360s- Each series became more complex and the hop from 355 to 360 was fairly minimal from that aspect whereas the hop to 430 was significant- Presumably why they dropped the cut-off switch altogether for the 458.

The factory chargers are sketchy at best- even my 458s factory charger is slower than syrup in winter- the newer Battery Tenders are not just trickle chargers but have a 4-step float process that charges then optimizes- quickly and safely- I use this one but all of them are good- Cheers

Yup, the factory Ctek is a POS and I ditched it back in the bag with the car cover. I use the Save A Battery brand on the Ferrari (recommended by Rifledriver), but also have a Duracell, a couple different ones from Griots Garage and several others, as I put all my cars and my motorcyle on a tender these days...they all work great, I don't think all those charging steps matter than much (some of mine claim to have 6 or 7 steps, plus temperature compensation, desulfation)...most important is simply to use it.

It also depends on what your particular parasitic current draw is (i.e., does it have a lot of added electrical stuff or not). My TR with a 0.065A parasitic current draw can last about 10~12 days, but I don't let it go that long.

Fcar ownership prepares one for EVs. I have been plugging my cars in after every drive for many years. my 360 had a 4 year old battery and only got driven for yearly service once a year, my house caught on fire and I was thankful it fired right up!
