Just curious how many 430's were built in 2008 and of that how many were spiders? Also what is the total production of 430s? Thanks
Hi, Arnie... To my knowledge, Ferrari hasn't released official F430 production numbers. But I'll hazard some round figures for the sake of the thread. I know of at least 182 2008 USA model F430 Berlinettas - which means the number is more like 270-400. I know of at least 658 2008 USA model F430 Spiders - which means the number is more like 1,000-2,000. Worldwide, unrestricted by model year, I know of at least 609 F430s (both Berlinettas and Spiders) with a manual transmission - which means the number is more like 1,000-2,000. I know of at least 5,557 F430s (both Berlinettas and Spiders) with F1 transmissions - which means the number is more like 3,000-11,000. I know of at least 3,962 F430 Berlinettas (both F1 and manual) - which means the number is more like 6,000-12,000. I know of at least 4,892 F430 Spiders (both F1 and manual) - which means the number is more like 7,500-15,000. I've accounted for 231 F430 Challenge cars - total production is probably close to double. I know of at least 1,269 430 Scuderias, at least 543 of which are in the states - which means the number in the US is probably more like 1,000-1,500, and total production is probably closer to 2,000-4,000. I know of at least 378 16Ms, at least 224 of which are in the states. Since this is a limited production model, I won't argue for or against Ferrari's strict adherence to limited production numbers - but the data speaks for itself. I never get all of the serial numbers of any given model - after years of hard work, I usually get one third to one half of total production (I usually get more of the limited production models, but it's rare to get ALL of them).
How do you know of all of those would be my question I'd guess of the 6500 cars a year that Ferrari makes that at least 5k were 430s with 4 full years of product I would guess 20,000 world wide
I think 20k is a good ballpark number. the estimated number of Challenge cars (400+) seems high to me, unless there are significantly more competitors outside the US than inside, and/or lots have been bought for collections, track days, non-Challenge series racing, etc.
Exact 360 production has been posted before, but the general numbers are: 8,500 Modenas, 7,500 Spiders, 300 Challenge cars, and 1,300 Stradales, for a grand total of 17,600. So it only makes sense that Ferrari would make more F430s. I already have 1,589 458s in my database, and 2,241 Californias!
I can account for at least 346 360 Challenge cars, so I'm only assuming that Ferrari made more F430 Challenge cars.
