I have recently had a Capristo level 3 exhaust fitted to my 360 and I must say I can't believe the amazing noise it makes. On the over-run it pops and bangs like a track car!

I was showing the exhaust to a friend of mine and we can see no markings on the exhaust to distinguish it between a level 1, 2 or 3 and wondered if there was a way to do this. I know I have a level 3 because the paperwork supplied by the fitting company shows this, but I would like to be sure that this is the case. Any help/advice appreciated, thanks.

I don't know how to distinguish the level 1 or 2. But in order to find out if you have the level 3, come home at 2am and if you have are fined by your home owners association the next day it's a level 3.

In all seriousness I'm almost positive there are no markings on the exhaust to distinguish it.

They're all the same; only the pricing is different.

Just kidding; I have no clue.

    Hehe.
The thing is, I haven't heard a level 1 or 2 with my own ears apart from YouTube clips, so I wouldn't really know what to compare mine against. I've emailed capristo but got an autoreply, out of office until 4th August! :(

See my other post here regarding the Cap3 sound!

I asked this question months ago and several people posted saying that it is indeed marked on the exhaust; however, it is on the underside so you cannot see it without removing the bumper and looking underneath.

I did look at the exhaust before it was fitted and no other markings, apart from "Capristo Exhaust Systems" is present.

Level II - Geez I am really tired at my neighbors giving me dirty looks, even though they are jealous, I wonder if I am really pissing them off now?

My Capristo level 2 has it stamped on the underside. I was going to go level 3 , but was cautioned against on my 360 spider. Glad I did not go the whole hog, as the level 2 is more than plenty loud with roo down. Great great sound.

I've had a good look at mine, but it has no markings. :(

As you said though, great, great sound. I lurve the standard 360 exhaust note and wasn't sure whether to go for an aftermarket system, all I can say is, you've gotta' get a Capristo. And no more white dust in the engine bay! :) The best thing I have bought for my 360 by far. :)

Martin, glad you like the Capristo. As i checked mine when i bought it several months ago, its written on the exhaust. I have written on mine "sound 3".Its hidden, not readable if you already installed it.

Thanks Petr. I did look at the exhaust before it was actually fitted to my 360. Can you elaborate where exactly it is or maybe pm me a pic. Thanks in advance.

I wanted to add that I used to be a huge TUBI fan until i compared the two systems. The exhaust note on the capristo is more ferrocious, without sounding 'tinny' like the TUBI.

    FWIW.

Same here! Could keep a skeleton staff on. I have ordered the one with the remote control for when the wife is in the car to close the valves.

The white dust is coming from the baffler can. They all do it, it's where the sound deadening material breaks down and is expelled through the expansion cut. Mine had only done 6500 miles and I've heard that many do it in under 1000 miles!

That is unless you have been asked to take a package from Colombia..........

    Hi Ken,

Thanks for the pic. Mine does NOT have this plate or any markings to confirm which level it is! :(
I'll take a pic tomorrow and post it up.
