Yes. Did it myself at a local dry cleaner with a laundry mat. They have large washers that easily accepted the cover. Cost $6.50 and I brought my own soap. It came out a couple shades lighter. It was definitely worth the effort.

Local laundromat with huge washer. Brought home damp and hung up to air dry. The instructions stated this as well.

I washed my cotton cover in our home washer and drier. It shrank. Badly.

Wet wash and tumble dry at some local laundry every year. Only the rubber bands at the rims drying up after a few years of use.

I have dunked mine in our pool once and line dried it. To bulky for machines.

My wife washes all 4 of my covers (annually) in the home washing machine, on ‘gentle’, with just a touch of liquid detergent. She dries them on ‘high’ with no fabric softeners. Been doing this for many years with no negative side effects.

    Don’t overthink this.

I like the swimming pool method, but I don't have one.

I put it on the car, hose it down let it dry, remove it, and then wash the car.
I also use my home washer, but the oil stains don't come out.
Dry cleaning a few times, but the oil stains don't come out, and it's $25.

I just accept that fact that it will be clean, but a little stain. It's a functional cover.
