So I just bought a new iPhone 14 pro. The JLC app for setting the moon phase for my Master Calendar is no longer available and I can't seem to download an old copy. While my watch usually sits in a winder, sometimes I forget to put it in and I don't wear the watch often enough to be on top of it stopping (It could go months of non-use in my rotation)

What app do you guys use to get the moon phase to set your watches?

    Thanks,
    Cheers,
    Corey

You can just Google "current phase of moon" and get a pictogram.

Sometimes I just go outside at night and look at the moon to set my watch.

    (I love moon phase watches.)

Or even the am/pm. Just get the hour right and minutes ballpark, shut the clasp and go.

Oh and use the iPhone for the time.............

Using the small button dedicated to rotating the moon, set the moon at full moon. Then count the number of days since the last full moon, and press the advance button once for each day. That should get you back on time. But...you must set it for the moon cycle in your city. Here is the one I use.

The moon’s phase is the same throughout the world. We all see the same moon phase.

Try comparing Perth Australia, Luanda Angola and Winnipeg Manitoba. The tilt is different but the phase is the same.

When the moon rises is based on local time, and the tilt will differ at different points of view. Yes, the moon's phase is the same, but not at the same time.

But moon phase complications only track the phase of the moon, not moon rise or moon set.
