So I'm looking at a car in Arkansas, and the seller say that he called he Ferrari dealer in Plano, and they said the car is 50 state legal, but doesn't know how to confirm to me. Is there a sticker somewhere in the car that will show this? Please help me or take a pic and post for me asap, because I'm almost ready to pull the trigger. Thanks, everyone.

If it is a US spec 360/430 (8th character in VIN is "A") it should be 50-state.

Label on car should also say that it meets US and CA emission standards, I think.

Since you are in CA you will want it to specifically say meets CA emission standards. Have them send you a picture of the sticker in the engine compartment, usually in plane sight. I registered a 612 from Utah on a very hot day. The somewhat "stocky" gal came out from the A/C office to look at the CA Emissions sticker, saw it and seconds we were back inside the cool office and had my registration after I paid the sales tax all in about 10 minutes not counting the hour plus wait in line. Evidently in CA the 50 state sticker w/o specifying CA is subject to additional scrutiny or at least what the DMV gal told me?

Are you looking for a car with less than 7,500 miles?? Because if you are not then the 50 state smog certification doesn't mean anything.
The rule is that you cannot register a NEW car in California with less than 7,500 miles in the odometer if it is not 50 state, even a 10 year old car with less than 7,500 miles is considered a new car.
(There are a few exceptions like serving, divorce, etc)
Of course this is regarding out of state vehicles, for cars from another countries is something different, CA has a process parallel to the Federal process, and it is not easy.

Canadian cars will have an A too (I believe), but regardless of that the 7,500 miles rule apply (please see my post above)

About your other question in your other thread if you will pass smog, one thing is a car 49 vs 50 state certification and a complete other thing is if you will pass smog or not.
If the car has been modified any component BEFORE the catalytic converters you will fail the visual inspection if the technician is strict (with aftermarket headers and/or 02 extenders you MIGHT get away but no OEM Cats and you will fail for sure)
Also if you have a check engine light on you will fail emissions.
The car must have ALL the readiness monitors completed but Evap

I bought the car with 5,500 on the clock and drove to CA so maybe another 700 miles but definitely under 7,500 miles. It is an 08 but I believe they registered it as a used car but they charged the "use tax" which is the same as sales tax which was a big number. The gal at the DMV ran the number twice as I don't think she had registered a car that expensive in Santa Paula before? But the process went way smoothly once she saw the CA sticker.

That is why she looked for the CA sticker, if the car had 7,500+ miles the CA certification doesn't really matter anymore.
Use tax and sales tax is the same percentage, you have to pay use tax in CA if you purchased the car (or any good, actually in theory you need to pay use tax for any kind of product you purchased out of state in Amazon or eBay) and within a year you bring it to CA (it used to be 3 months years ago)

Did you pay any sales tax in Utah?? If you did you could have that credited in the CA use tax

That is a big issue, replacing OEM manifolds is very costly (I am not sure but I believe like 7k or more in an independent shop and like 10k in a dealer), if the crack is not that apparent (meaning you don't have a visual leak) you will still pass smog.
You could use that as a negotiation tool, get the car smogged register it and replace the manifolds with aftermarket ones (AP, Fabspeed, etc) that will be half the price and way better quality and sound.
I will recommend you to install headers blankets and in two years time see if you will pass the visual inspection with the blankets on (people here have been successful) and if you don't put back the defective OEM manifolds and repeat every two years.

No I knew I would be stuck with CA use tax and actually only paid a very minor transfer or temp resistration (30 days) in Utah.
