My Cali T's fender turn signal stopped working. How do I pop it out? I'm a little scared to pull too hard. Don't want to bend my fender. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just pull the plastic lens out using either your fingernails or a plastic pry tool. Then you can pull the rubber base out holding the bulb. I recommend replacing the bulb with LED. LED's doesn't get hot and it's much brighter. I replaced mine already, both bulb and replaced the lens too with clear lens. Dan Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Here you go David, please see my post here: I believe its post number 18. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/my-new-to-me-2016-california-t.623786/#post-147279235 Bulb type is BA9S & you can find many LED bulb suppliers at Amazon. Replacement being LED's you can also try different colors if you wish. I alternate my side marker bulbs between white and yellow. Super easy to replace. I also recommend applying a very light coat of oil on the rubber housing so its easier to pop out next time. This is the LED bulb I purchased: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VNX5SRS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Hope that helps. Dan
As a suggestion, next time you have a question about your Cali T you will get better chances of replies if you post on the California T section; https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/forums/california-portofino-roma.140/ Dan
The fender repeaters on the Portofino are one-piece. The lenses are glued on. The units are removed by squeezing the spring retainer from behind the body panel so that they can be pulled out.
Do not apply oil to rubber since it can lead to deterioration in the rubber. Use a silicone grease instead.
