OK, you guys were right, $100k was below what Risktaker would accept. Then I talked to a couple of guys in the office who wanted a good investment and we were able to scrape together enough money for Risktaker to accept.

    So we are NOW IN!!!

94% guaranteed, and we only have to distribute 45% to charity, the rest is all ours. I'm SO pumped about this opportunity.

For those of you who missed it and are still responding to the OP, any serious discussion of his claims were tossed out of the window way back here:

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/143666593-post128.html

At this point, the OP is long gone and the thread remains solely for entertainment purposes.

Due to the fact that we're not all idiots here, this thread was, from the get-go, solely for entertainment purposes.

Investments are investments... buying into public equity still supports investments.

Don't really disagree with anything you're saying. Just pointing out that starting with $100mm in early 1970s, invested for 30+ years, would usually result in billions. Simple compounding.

Nothing wrong with starting with money. Just seemed like his retort was as obnoxious as the other guy's initial comment... Then again, around a poker table I've head all kinds of things, usually in good fun

The use of the plural form gives your story an air of legitimacy. (I would have guessed Dominatrixes).

That method has worked for me a few times now.

Now you have to. With photos.

I actually cannot disclose much. I've been sworn to secrecy for a couple of reasons. I can say, though, it's a very "interesting" writing gig with an established author.

Don't bother trying to google it. It's all being done under pen names.

    ;)

    Stocks......

I have friends who are investment bankers, non have such huge returns. Most have a minimum of $1 million in investable assets or a net worth of $3 million for clients. Non are ultra exclusive need $100million or more. Most are into safe investments, therefore reasonable rate of return.

Most doctors, lawyers, dentist, etc. can get into private type banking arrangements, with reputable banks. Most wealthy to ultra wealthy people I know hate risk. They won't fall for inflated returns. All though my former dentist, who became a hedge fund manager, basically stole $90million dollars with outrageous returns. Most see the scam.

Very few people meet my definition of a millionaire. Someone who can spend a million dollars a year without worry. Most even amongst Ferrari owners, or my other like Rolls Royce or even in offshore powerboats can meet this definition. Those that can you wouldn't know it.

It would be interesting to know what people do for a living.

I'm an ex stock broker and now trade for myself. Glorified day trader :)
