There's no loophole, the import laws changed in the last 12 months, it's now possible to import and register a very low production number vehicle such as a LaFerrari or Enzo

Ok, I can find information on the importation of such vehicles and I know that they have been imported in the past under a certain rule, RARITY or not being available in the Australian market i think but they stay unregistered. That's on the Department of Infrastructure and Transport.

It's the full no restriction REGISTRATION in NSW that I can't find any information on. That would be the SERVICE NSW Department. I can find info on the Service NSW site about registering LHD cars older than 25 year but not newer LHD vehicles. That's what I'm totally stumped on.....

If anyone can place a link regarding the Registration in NSW of these cars please do...

    Page 16 of the PDF

 less than 3,000 vehicles of the make and vehicle category of the road vehicle are produced per year (averaged over the number of years that the make of the road vehicle is, or was, available as a new vehicle in any market in the world)

 less than 1,000 vehicles of the model of the road vehicle are produced per year (averaged over the number of years that the model of the road vehicle is, or was, available as a new vehicle in any market in the world)

 less than 100 vehicles of the variant of the model of the road vehicle are produced per year (averaged over the number of years that the variant of the road vehicle is, or was, available as a new vehicle in any market in the world). Note: Vehicles under the rarity criterion do not need to be converted to right-hand drive before they can be provided to the market, though such vehicles will still be subject to state and territory registration requirements.

Yes, but you need to read the entire PDF which explains the eligibilty criterion or not. It's a complex process to import a car less than 25 years old under the rarity criterion, especially if you are the first person seeking an entry in to the SEVS register.

Does the vehicle still ave to comply with Aus Design Rules or is that something from a bygone era.

    Not sure how that works.
These cars are all modern and would comply with the rules in the USA / Europe at the time of their manufacture which would be similar to the Australian requirmemts.

Supercar advocates used Top Secret Imports out Blacktown way https://topsecretimports.com.au/

The 25 year rule only applies to personal imports. If you import a car via a RAWS workshop they are given concessions as a commercial importer.

Yes ADR's are still a thing.

    Not in US
Since this was first done the registration has now been rescinded . Strictly speaking it should never have been registered
