I am bitten by this sticky button bug in my dash. To be exact I feel it only in my map light location ( the black plastic/rubber case around the light). Any body has a remedy to take care of it as a DYI project? I remember reading about this in the past but could not find it int the forum any more. Thanks

Clean off the sticky goop with simple rubbing alcohol from your local drug store. Buy some q tips and or use one of your old t shirts. Only takes a couple of minutes to remove the goop. Watch how quickly you load up a spot on the cloth or q tip. GTS Bruce

I finally stumbled on this same solution.

Don't get greedy and try to take off huge
    amounts at one time.

Just do more every time you clean or detail
the car, and soon it's all clean !

I have had to remove sticky material from several different types of surfaces. I used to use rubbing alcohol, but the problem with it is it sometimes marred the surface I was cleaning. Then I discovered Goo Gone. It does a far much better job and does not deface the surface.

I haven't had occasion to try this on sticky buttons (thankfully my car doesn't have them), but I would expect it would work better than rubbing alcohol.

Duck tape also works, use multiple strips and keep it off the white lettering/emblems.

I just added up the figures on your website for all the bits that you 'unstick' for a 575 in your quote calculator. I had never known the cost involved so thought others also might want to know. Nothing sinister. It is great that you have made a business out of one of Ferrari's many failures.

I have never had a customer that needs everything done, usually parts here and there. Average job on most interior items for a 575 is around $1500. Also our prices are about 1/4 what new part costs, we guarantee our parts to never get sticky again. Small price to pay for a beautiful interior on a $150K car that a dealer usually charges $300 to do an oil change on if you ask me :D

I have a 328 so lucky for me I'll never have this problem but I have visited your website out of curiosity and found.
Your services are certainly a credit to the Ferrari owners.

I had a 328 years ago also, still miss that car. One of the best looking in my opinion. One of the few cars that screams---FERRARI
