Hi. I recently replaced the headlights with the Holley Retrobright LED headlights. I do recommend them over the standard bulb for nighttime driving. It is a tremendous improvement in visibility and should be a simple plug and play job that takes just a few minutes each. Of course, nothing is ever that easy. The first one went in perfectly. Seated in the bucket nicely and the cover went on with no problem. But it appears that the guys on the 328 assembly line were not that keen on precision. After fumbling for 20 minutes trying to secure the cover on the second headlight I realized that the bucket that the headlight sits in is not attached in the same position as the other. It is screwed in to the factory holes just a fraction of an inch higher than it should be. Because the Holley glass is a bit thicker than the regular bulb, it did not allow me to get the cover on and still clear the bulb glass. The cover kept squeezing against the edge of the glass. I finally muscled it in, but there is no way to reach the upper adjustment screw (for vertical adjustment). I had to remove the cover, make the adjustments, then re-muscle the cover back on. It is worth the trouble, but I suggest that anyone thinking about making the change check to see if you have the sloppy clearance issue. I think that if you can easily access the adjustment screw with the standard bulb, it should not be an issue. If you have my issue, then do any adjustments before you put the cover on.
You are correct, LED lights was a night and day difference in our 328. I will say every time I have had trouble with the headlight buckets or mounting it was due to the work of a body shop, not Ferrari.
Looks like a great addition if you drive much at night! Are there LED bulbs available for the Fog lights? I drive with them on as daytime running lights but would prefer them to be brighter.
Just took a look at them. Did you do the classic or modern white? I like the idea of the classic white but not sure how much brighter it would be.
Good day All, There is past thread on the Holley LED headlights if you are interested: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/holley-retro-bright-led-headlights.659242/ I seem to recall that some users were concerned about their quality. Cheers, Sam
I went with the modern white. I think it looks clean and don’t feel it detracts from the appearance at all. I’ll post pics when I get back this weekend (at the track with PCA).
I'd worry about"vintage" headlight output color just as I worry about having "vintage" tire tread pattern...not at all.
Here’s a couple pics of the lights on. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I was doing research and came across this video that reviews 23 different LED Headlights (Skip to 6:00" for Holley) This one is specifically for the Holley Retrobright and covers both color options
It looks like they are down to $360 now. After driving on a twisty unlit road with stock lights, I would have paid twice the price. I have been accustomed to modern lighting on my other cars and stock lights are horrifically inferior. It is crazy to pay that much for bulbs, but worth it to me.
I have been using HID lights for about ten years now and love it, 35 watts, operating voltage is only 10 volts. If this ever goes bad I’m replacing it with the LED. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Where did you purchase your lights? Mine are ok but I like how bright yours are. If you're able to dig up a part number that would be great.

My RetroBrights have arrived. When the polar express withdraws northward I will install and review. Image Unavailable, Please Login
