Ok, I bought the Tod's (sitting in a box until my car comes), I bought the watch (Panerai on the way, I might wear before I get the car, as I will no longer feel I'm a "phony" with one on order).

However, also interested in the pen situation. A search turns up the latest Montblanc Enzo pens, but also some Cross and Schaefer variants. I can't seem to find any history on Ferrari collaborations with other penmakers, so thought I'd turn to the group.

I don't necessarily collect, but I have a handful of nice pens, including a favorite co branded Aston Martin pen and a S.T. Dupont McLaren collab. I suppose the Ferrari pen should be next.

If co-branding is important to you, go for it! But stay away from Sheaffer pens - not very good once they were sold, left the US, and became just a name. Their older US pens are really nice. If you like fountain pens, can live without co-branding and want something really good but not as obvious as a Montblanc 149, a Pelican M1000 is really a very nice pen to write with.

Personally, once you have the car, the co-branding stuff kind of becomes irrelevant (in my opinion). The only exception, which you may appreciate based on you avatar, is the Montblanc Carrera.

    Regards,

    Art S.

I like to purchase one co branded pen for every car I have, although come to think of it, I don’t have one for the P Car! What about the Enzo pens!

Although I do suppose that when the car arrives, not much else will matter!

I really have no opinion about them, besides buy what you like. To me its just marketing, to my knowledge, Enzo didn't do co-branding but he did use a distinct purple ink.

A cool idea might be to buy a pen like he had and put the same color ink in it. Actually I might look into doing just that! I have a car like one he drove in the '60s, it might be cool to have a pen like the one he used as well - normally not my thing but...

I have a Schaefer. Came in a nice box but there is a Made in China sticker on the bottom. Has a nice heft & feel to it. Writes well. Cross used to have some but I think they stopped.

My mistake, I am home now to look at the box. I have a Cross one, not Schaefer. Still very nice, still Made in China. Got it on walmart.com
