I'm building the proforma and I'm having a hard time writing the formula for one of our revenue streams. 10% of (Number of members x fixed $) But then I want to subtract 3% of that number (cc processing fee) and then another fixed $ amout. How do I do it? The number of members evolving per month at around + 5% (pessimistic) to + 30% (optimistic).
If I may . . . Write each (formula & resultant subtotal) in different columns. Hide or collapse formula subtotals. This makes available, yet invisible each relevant, formulaic subtraction, addition, division, etc. subtotal, which, trust this, you or someone else will absolutely insist upon as if your life depended on it. Combine Visible & Hidden Formulaic Subtotals to make Visible Total which is relevant in the here and now. "The pheasants are beneath me." - SoCal to az "I have very few pet peeves in life . . . " - PeterS "Change is inedible" - fc2
= 0.97 *( 0.10 * (N * F1)) - F2 Assuming I read your recipe correctly. N = number of members F1 = your first fixed # F2 = your second fixed # the above variables need to be replaced by specific cell numbers since you're using excel. T
The issue is that i was having trouble formulating the formula. Hadnt done a proforma in 5 years so was a bit rusty.
Don't forget the F4 function to fix a value with the dollar signs. Saved me on many lab reports in college.
