In desperate need to have two ECUs repaired for my Lambo. IIRC the ECU is magneti marelli. Anyone has personal experience with a good repair shop ? This old thread mentioned bba-reman: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/technical-q/66572-help-348-ecu.html Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Taffy
You mean Haltec or Motec ? Yes. That is an option. But for originality I want to try fixing the ECU first.
1990 LM002 EFI http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/lamborghinichat-com-sponsored-lamborghini-houston/405555-i-bought-my-first-lamborghini-unicorn.html Yes it is a mix of LIE unit with Countach motor
I was afraid of that . Those LIE units were actually designed and made by Lamborghini themselves (although I think they did consult with an electronics partner, too), and they are very specialized and not many folks know too much about them. I would suggest you hop over onto the Lambo boards to see if those guys have any info or sources. The LIE units were used throughout the Diablo range, and they are prone to failure, so many Lambo owners have faced what you are up against, before ---- good luck
Contact Ken McKay via Boston Sports Cars. He is or was the US tech representative for Lambo. I have an injected LM too. If I can be of help my email is [email protected] Where are you located?
The electronics partner must have been a teenager who worked at Radioshack. Those things are junk. They stole the ignition system right off a TR. They would have been far better off stealing the Motronics in its entirety.
Thanks Brian. I am in Jakarta Indonesia. Sending both ECUs to Australia as we speak. If it cannot be fixed, then I would do a full standalone Haltech Cheers, Taffy
If that isn't the truth. I am considering a complete EFI/Ignition conversion for my TR. Easy to do and not a lot of problems once installed and sorted.
Yes, they are. But you gotta appreciate Lambo's ability to add sequential FI and a couple of O2 sensor feedback loops to a tractor ECU
