SUNDAY, 06. JUNE Stay up very early in the morning to drive to the Greenwich Concours. I have had the pleasure to take place in Jim`s passenger seat of the famous LOLA!!!! WOW, what a damn beast!!!!!! Just amazing the drive but sadly to shortL just 5 miles to go to the concours. Yes, indeed another set-up of cars for the next day! I have met some fchatters but sadly not all. ROB, we need some fchat-caps to find each other!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was hard raining the whole day, so Jim decided to drive back home at 12.00a.m. Everybody was totally wet down to the bones. Driving back home the Lola we went for some fine mexcian food in a very good restaurant. Slava was so kind to drive me back to the airport in the afternoon, thanks a lot buddy!!!! .and all the way back home. enjoy the pics
Hi Wolfgang I got it...you think I'm jealous right??? .......DAMN IT....you're right, I am To make it short this is indeed the ORIGINAL and first built of the three Bugatti Atlantics. Delivered new in 1936 and carying Chassis# 57374. The car is owned by Dr. Peter D. Williamson from Lyme, New Hampshire and he had the car totally restored, back to as it was when delivered new in 1936. The car won Best of show at last year's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance! Williamson have owned the car since 1971. So you finally saw one of the Originals.....that's just awesome man!!! I have tears in my eyes as I see also a VERY handsome supercharged type 40 and a type 44 as well as the type yellow and black type 57....thanks man you definately made my day with these pics!!! I believe that you had an awesome great weekend together with Jim, his family and the other American gents! Man... I could spend months in a garrage like that just sit and look and make drawings......I'm stunned by the perfection of the details of all of Jim's cars....he really must be an awesome enthusiast, and a true gentleman to show his dream cars for you!
