Can anyone share a picture of what the head up display looks like on the 296 ?
I wasn’t aware that Roma’s had HUD as an option. I’d also love to see a photo of the the HUD can display.
Image Unavailable, Please Login So you have two modes, classic and race. This is classic: Image Unavailable, Please Login This is race on performance/qualify: Image Unavailable, Please Login Race on hybrid/edrive. Sorry for the horrible pic didn’t realize it then as I took it while driving: Image Unavailable, Please Login Classic only gives you your speed. Race shows you a shift light like the steering and your current gear. I prefer using classic. It’s simple, small, and not distracting. Seeing the speed in front of me along with the shift lights on the steering wheel is all I need when going fast. I actually miss the HUD when driving my 812. However I can see race being useful for those who don’t have the shift lights on the steering.
I like the race view hud on the 296, because if you use car play, it becomes your only rev counter....
Car play taking over the screen display and covering the rev counter is a bad design... hopefully Ferrari can issue a fix. Is there a method not to use car play but still play music through the I phone to the system, so the rev counter remains visible?
Ive taken to turning off CarPlay. Use Bluetooth for phone and music. Mount phone inside car and leave waze active for nav/ road conditions intelligence. Let the music stream and dont touch the main screen Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
Where did you mount the phone? I couldn’t think of a suitable place except maybe on top of the ac vent on the right
I had a WeatherTec Cup Phone in my closet that I bought years ago but never used. It fits the cupholder and I just run USB for power. It works well enough but, yes, well enough is really not appropriate for Ferrari. I dont know anything but I would expect they will address this.
My 296GTB heads up display cannot be made bright enough to be of much help. Do others have the same problem and has the factory announced a fix?
Race mode also shows the tightness of a turn coming up on a scale of one to ten so you can brake / slowdown / downshift accordingly. It’s pretty cool. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Woah, that’s neat. Probably hard to get a picture of this but if possible (safely) could you one day get one?
