    hey. I recently bought a Mazda3 with heads up display. The car won’t let me turn it off permanently, which is what I want. My initial thought is to put an opaque paper over the opening in the dash. Does anybody see any tech issues with this? My first thought was heat, but it sits on the dash in the blazing sun anyway. Any other thoughts?

    Yes I am old fashioned. A speedo is fine if you really need the advisory;).

    Try reaching out to the shop manager to see if they can disable the HUD
