i found threads about headliners for other cars, but I couldn’t find anything for the 458.

I have the leather headliner, and it has started to sag. I have seen some people saying it’s a few hundred dollars, but some local shops have said it can cost thousands.

Any ideas? Any shops in Atlanta if you happen to know any? I plan on going by Mad Stitchers next week, but any other insights would be appreciated.

I had that happen in my 360, the repair is fairly simple to do and the expense was around $600, if I recall correctly. The issue is they have to dismantle a fair amount of the interior to get the panel out, then reinstall, so you are paying for labor and around $2 buck in glue.

I had that on my 458. I think there are these plastic clips that break and have to be replaced. I think it tends to recur. Mine was done under warranty so no idea on cost.

I agree here, happened on my 512tr and to fix it right Ferrari of Seattle took off most of the surrounding interior pieces so they could glue it properly. I have heard that some people have put glue in a syringe and tried to inject it by piercing the lining and injecting the glue...however I was told this results in a bumpy mess as the glue dries in mounds around the injection sites. Best to get it done right in my opinion.

Appreciate the feedback all. I guess I’ll go get it checked out this week and see what needs to be done.

I had a local guy here in town fix mine; He charged $250 to fix it; He claims the cause of it is heat and the windows should be cracked when parked outside.

I had the same issue with my 599, but only the back half started sagging. Referring to the work shop manual, I removed the surrounding trim pieces (mainly clipped on). I purchased the 3M headliner adhesive spray for about $11. Taped and masked off surrounding area of headliner, and sprayed both roof and headliner. Let it get tacky and stick back on. It was fairly easy to do and holding nicely.

Roger that and while I can't prove it and decided to just suck it up, my 360 sat outside at the dealer for 3 wks waiting on parts in the heat of the summer. Got 5 miles down the road and the leather roof liner literally dropped in my lap.

Interesting to hear. I’ll see if that makes a difference after I get it fixed. I must admit, I feel a little silly strolling around in a 458 with the headliner grazing my head
