Who all is in, given a ~45 day advance notice? I'll try for a Saturday, and see if private tours are available. I knew Peter Mullin slightly back in the day, I'll see what it gets us ;-)
I've been talking about going to the museum with another couple. I/we might be interested if we can get a "special" tour of their facilities, depending on the date. We'd make a weekend trip out of it from San Diego. Keep us posted. Alberto
All, thanks for your responses. I've been swamped during buisness hours but will get a call into Peter this coming weel.
...for Saturday, February 12th, 10AM. We'll get a final headcount closer to the event. I've let Peter Mullin know that we'll be about 12 in total. Peter charges an admission price of $10/person. There are no formal tours, but myself and perhaps a few of you can fill in- I'm fluent in Bugatti, and fairly respectable in Talbot-Lago, Delahaye and Hispano-Suiza ;-) Afterwards, we can see who would like to lunch together at a nearby restaurant. It'll be fun! -Peter
Excellent. Thanks for organizing. Are we capped at 12 or can we bring friends that might be interested? I can certainly provide advance warning of how many to expect. Don't want to be rude, but I've had a few friends express interest after I told them of my visit.
I've read about the museum and would really like to attend. In fact, maybe we could have a small exotic gathering/caravan there? -Jay
Did we decide if we could invite others? I have some friends that might be interested in joining, but I don't want to be presumptious.
Peter: Can you post the details of the time, etc. that we should gather for the tour? My wife and I are making hotel reservations tonight. Thanks. Alberto
