The seller really knows Ferrari's. It is the rare Modena Spider model.

Each to their own but this has been really heavily modified. It's been lowered so low it has to scrape every pothole.

Whenever I see a heavily modified car, I start to wonder about what else the previous owners did. So, get it checked out because we are all guessing. You can't tell anything from photos. It's like choosing your wife based on her Facebook photos.

And, no one can tell you a fair price until someone actually looks over the car and sees what it needs or has been done properly or improperly. That's like guessing the value of a house based only on it's zip code.

    Hey Amit,

Like gavin said it is going to take you a lil bit to find the right one. Dont rush in to it as much as you would love too. I Joined the FC in 4/09, read 1000s of posts. Bought my first 360 in 10/2010. Sold it and then bought a F430 Spider in 4/11. I mean this took a good 2 years. I know thats a little strech. Everyone is different. If you are looking just to get into a F car and drive it around for a few months you dont have to do that much due deliegence. I refused to buy a car from anyone that did not have every service record for me. After 2 years I finally found one. I am very happy. Also be weary of cars that dont have miles on em. You want something with miles but well taken care off. I think most of the F drivers how put miles on their car take very good care of them. Since june alone i have clocked 2200 miles. A lot of those cars out there havent seen that many miles in a year. my 2 cents.

    Viraj.

Thanks Gavin. I understand that everyone is advising me to be cautious so that I don't accidentally get a car "with a story". I really like this car and though it has a little higher miles than usual. I will def get the PPI done and if everything looks good then I might pull the trigger. Right now coz of my busy work schedule, I am not able to find some time to get to see the car in person. But I will keep looking. Btw, I don't seems to find 2001-2003 360 modena/spider locally in the bay area. PM sent!

Thanks Viraj for taking the time out. Is 33k miles too much for a 2002 360? I think thats a reasonable mileage on a car this old coz I have been reading in other forums that its not a great idea to get a car with very less mileage. From the pics this car looks like well taken care of.

I second this. Over a 2.5 year period I looked at over 30 360 spiders, and drove a lot of them. I was finally going to pull the trigger on one that I loved that was sold under me. A week later I found the one I did buy, which was by far the cleanest and nicesest one of all the ones I had looked at and much nicer than the one that was sold under me. 2 years later and no regrets and I still love my car and it paid to buy the nicest one I saw, notwithstanding clamps comming off the air intakes last week.

Ahh well, I guess if you're too busy to actually go see it you should probably just jump in and buy it so. I mean if you don't like it you can always consign it somewhere and move it on again.

Best of luck (you may need it) :D

I highly recommend checking out any potential F purchase with a visit. And of course a PPI.

    I like the red/black combo.
